Remus' face showed on Sirius' phone screen,the other boy still wearing Sirius' hoodie."good morning handsome" Sirius smiled and watched as the faint blush grew on Remus' cheeks,just subtle enough for Sirius to let it slide."morning" Remus smiled,one of his hands resting on his chest,playing with the drawstring of Sirius' hoodie."So what are the plans today?" Sirius asked,scratching his bare chest as he yawned."erm,nothing spectacular.Just some physio" Remus shrugged."Oh,yes i meant to talk to you about that yesterday.As soon as the nurse spoke about physio,your smile just like...dropped?" Sirius stated and Remus nodded."It's not nice,to be honest,hurts like a bitch.I'm alone too because my dads still working and my mum had to go into work.I promised her i'd get Lily to come over and babysit me but she's done enough so i don't want to bother her." A sad look crossed Sirius' face before he pulled himself to stand up,taking his phone with him as he walked over to his wardrobe."Where are you going?" Remus asked,looking at the now determined look on Sirius' face through his phone screen."i'm coming to the hospital.That way,i can see you and help you and you don't have to ask Lily,even though we both know she would be absolutely fine with coming over" Remus rolled his eyes with a fond smile before shaking his head."they're only letting close relatives in.It's Sunday" Remus shrugged,looking slightly defeated."Don't you worry about that,My love.I will find a way" Sirius grinned at Remus before walking across his room towards where Remus knew James' bed was."oi,get up and entertain Moony while i shower." Sirius woke James up by patting his cheek with his hand,making James frown and look up at him."what?" James grumbled,accepting the glasses Sirius held out to him."Entertain Moony while i shower" Sirius replied before shoving the phone into James' hand with a smile and popping his head into the camera,blowing Remus a kiss.Remus laughed,rolling his eyes before Sirius disappeared into the bathroom.
Sirius finished in the shower,10 minutes later,leaving his hair to flop down,dripping water down onto his shoulders.He walked into his room,a white towel sat low on his hips as he walked towards his drawers."Oi,i'm going for breakfast before it's finish,take this" James held the phone in his hand,only his face visible in the camera."Jamie,As you can very well see,because i am stood right infront of you,i haven't even put my boxers on yet.So just chill for a second" Sirius told him and James rolled his eyes."Yes,i can see that but i don't care.I'm hungry so take the phone or tell Moony you'll call him back" James replied and Sirius huffed,taking the phone back from James."go on then.Get your breakfast.Child" There was an offended gasp from James which Sirius could see made Remus smile slightly."put some clothes on,I don't want to see that.And neither does Moony!!! it's 10 o'clock in the bloody morning,Sirius" James yelled and Sirius smirked."First of all,i was trying to put my clothes on before you interrupted me.Second of all,you don't have a choice,you're my brother.And third of all-" "We do not need to adress the third thing" Remus interrupted and James laughed.Sirius quickly pulled on a pair of black jeans and paired them with a white hoodie,talking to Remus as he did so off camera."i won't be long,okay?" Sirius told Remus as he made his way to the door of his dorm room."Okay,Thank you,Sirius" Remus nodded,a smile on his face."It's alright,Moony" Sirius smiled back and the boys said goodbye allowing Sirius to leave and head to Mcgonagalls office.Mcgonagall was hesitant to allow Sirius to go out again,but then again she never could refuse him so he set off walking to the hospital with the promise that he would be back at 5pm on the dot.The sun was beaming and Sirius made himself a reminder to thank Remus for instructing him to leave his leather jacket at the dorm,he already had a hoodie on and it's far too hot outside.

Sirius reached the entrance and walked inside the hospital,walking straight over to the reception desk."Hi,are you here visiting?" the receptionist asked and Sirius gave her a smile."Yeah,Remus Lupin,Room 207" he replied and the woman sighed."It's close relatives only.Are you a friend? because i'm sure he'd love to see you but i can only let close relatives in,im sorry." the woman spoke and Sirius smiled,shoving his hands in his pockets to stop himself from fidgeting and showing his nerves."Oh yeah,he told me about that this morning" Sirius replied,trying his hardest to think of something to say."yeah,it may seem really bizarre but i really can only let close relatives in.Are you a friend?" the woman asked,the smile staying on her face as she spoke to Sirius."oh,erm no..." Sirius stalled as he thought up an excuse, he needed to be creative and show how close he is to Remus and yet nothing came to his mind."He's my boyfriend" Sirius' heart was pounding as he smiled at the receptionist,trying his hardest to keep his expression relaxed and not show her his nervousness."Oh okay,Sorry.How long have you been together?" the woman asked,her smile growing slightly.Sirius knew this was to determine whether she would let him in or not so why not carry it on? "A year tomorrow.That's why i want to see him,i can't tomorrow because i'm at school" Sirius' voice was steady,the way he had practiced when lying his way out of trouble at school."Awh,that's nice.No problem,i'll get you a visitor badge now" Sirius smiled and thanked her before grabbing the lanyard and walking towards the stairs.
Sirius made it to Remus' floor and walked down the corridor before reaching a familiar door.207.He knocked and Remus shouted for him to come in,smiling when the door opened revealing Sirius."How the hell did you get in here?! Lily couldn't even get in this morning! She tried to come by even though i told her she didn't need to but they wouldn't let her in" Remus smiled and Sirius walked in,sitting down on Remus' bed,facing the other boy."Well,funny story actually" Sirius brought a hand up to rub at the back of his neck while looking at Remus."oh no.What did you do?" Sirius laughed and shook his head "Nothing bad,i promise.I just may have told them that i was your boyfriend" Sirius looked down as he spoked,watching his hands fidget together."really?" Remus asked and Sirius nodded,still not making eye contact."And that we have been together a year tomorrow,so i wanted to see you today because i can't tomorrow" Sirius finally looked up and after a second of silence,both boys burst out laughing."She fell for it?" Remus asked and Sirius nodded."Hm,i like it.It's got a nice ring to it" Remus teased and Sirius smirked."Well,you better get used to it sooner or later,love" Sirius winked,sending a blush over Remus' cheeks,making him hide his face."stooooopppp" Remus whined and Sirius laughed pulling Remus' hands away from his face."Sorry" Sirius laughed and Remus frowned,pouting at Sirius."Why do you have to be so mean?" Remus asked and Sirius gasped dramatically "i am not mean to you!" he laughed and Remus raised his eyebrows at him."You teasing me and making me blush,counts as being mean" Remus replied,crossing his arms over his chest as Sirius' smile grew."Well,what if i'm not teasing.What if i'm just being truthful?" Sirius asked,a small smirk now showing on his face,only inches away from Remus'."Well,then you better do something about it,No?" Remus asked and Sirius smiled,bringing a gentle hand up to Remus' cheek."I suppose it's about time i had" He smiled before pulling Remus gently into him,finally pressing their lips together.
The kiss was slow and sweet,Sirius' cold hands cupping Remus' face while one of Remus' hands stayed on his own stomach,the other resting on Sirius' thigh that was tucked up beside Remus' body.The two pulled away,grinning at eachother as their faces stayed close."i thought you'd never do it" Remus whispered and Sirius' smile grew even brighter."i knew you never would so i had to take things into my own hands" Sirius winked before pressing one last kiss to Remus lips and standing up."I'll be right back,I think this calls for some snacks and a movie" Remus nodded,watching as Sirius left the room.
The walk to the vending machine would have been quick if Sirius hadn't seen an old lady walking down the corridor,hunched over,holding her back.She let out small huffs of breath,her eyes squeezing closed.He jogged over and placed a gentle hand on the lady's shoulder."Are you okay,ma'am?" Sirius asked and the woman lifted her head up to look at him."Oh,hello.I just need some help getting to a nurse,dear.Would you mind?" she asked and Sirius shook his head."No,No,of course" he replied,linking his arm underneath hers and walking slowly down the corridor towards the nurses station.When they eventually made it,Sirius handed the woman off to a nurse and made his way back out of the room and towards the vending machine again.
Sirius got to the vending machine and selected a few bags of sweets and crisps,feeding a £10 note into the machine and collecting his change.He waited for all of his items to drop down into the bottom of the machine before shoving the change into his back pocket and grabbing his stuff.The walk back to Remus' room was quite,until he turned the corner,reaching Remus' corridor.A group of nurses and doctors were pushing a cart of equipment into a room,very near to Remus'.Sirius frowned,speeding up a bit to get there faster.That was when his heart dropped.The group of nurses and doctors were rushing around one of the rooms,some coming out to run down the corridor,some rushing in,into a room Sirius soon recognised to be Remus'.
Sirius immediately sprinted the last section of the corridor,flying through the door of Remus' room and coming to an abrupt halt almost knocking a nurse over.Remus' bed layed flat now,his arms at his side as the nurses and doctors crowded around his bed."Remus?!" Sirius called and pushed his way to Remus,dropping his snacks on the armchair.Remus' forehead was dripping with sweat,falling down the sides of his face which was flushed pink.He looked up at Sirius,his eyes heavy and his head tilted to the side."Sirius" Remus whispered and Sirius gently grabbed hold of his hand.Remus winced,squeezing Sirius' hand as a nurse injected a needle into his arm."ow" remus whispered,looking around with a frown on his face."No,No get off.It hurts stop it" Remus whined,pushing at the doctor who stood trying to check his breathing."Remus,Remus you have to calm down.You're going to make things worse" A nurse spoke,holding onto Remus' arm to stop him from pulling at the IV in his arm."Okay,stop.Get off him,you're making him panic" Sirius spoke up and the nurses looked at him."Sorry,Just...Remus?" Sirius lowered his voice and placed his hand on Remus' side.His hand that Sirius had previously been holding was being held by a doctor,trying to stop him from pulling at the IV."Remus...Moony,look at me." Sirius spoke a little bit louder,his voice still soft as he looked down at Remus.Remus turned his head,looking around at the two nurses beside Sirius before looking directly at Sirius."Hi" Sirius whispered,reaching to hold Remus' hand as the nurse let go.He pulled Remus' hand into both of his and smiled softly."You're okay,yeah? They just need to do what they're doing so they can help you okay?" Remus stared up at Sirius,a pained frown on his face."but it hurts" he whispered,a small tear dripping down the side of his face.Sirius' face softened and he swiped the tear away with his thumb."I know.But they've got to help you,Remus.Okay?" Remus nodded slowly and Sirius nodded back,before looking up at the doctor opposite him and nodding.
"he should be okay,we just need to give him this medication and he should recover within the next few hours" Sirius stood,his arms crossed as he listened to the nurse infront of him.He hadn't seen Remus in an hour,the nurses ushered Sirius out of the room and ever since he had been sat in the hallway, his leg bouncing as he nervously chewed at his finger.The hospital had contacted Remus' mum and she was on her way.This was definitely not the way Sirius wanted to meet her but he sure as hell wasn't leaving.And that's why as soon as he saw a woman rushing towards him and the nurse, her face the spitting image of Remus' he began clicking his fingers nervously "I'm so sorry.He was fine and happy and i went to get snacks but then i had to help an old lady who hurt her back and by the time i got back he was just-" Sirius' rambling was cut off by Mrs Lupin wrapping her arms around him."Thank you for being there for my boy" She cried, her face in Sirius' shoulder.
Sirius waited by Remus' side for three hours,Mrs Lupin sat in the chair on the other side of Remus, quietly reading a book she had brought in her bag.Sirius held onto Remus' hand, his head layed on his arm which was rested on the edge of Remus' bed.As much as Sirius tried to avoid it, his eyes started drooping heavily before slowly slipping closed as he fell asleep.He sat there for another hour, sleeping with his head resting on his arm, his face turned towards Remus and his free hand gripping onto Remus'.There was a quiet mumbling before a gentle hand was placed on the top of Sirius' head, gently running fingers through his hair.Sirius sighed sleepily before blinking his eyes open, looking right into the all too familiar hazel eyes above him.Sirius sat bolt upright,his eyes wide as he looked at Remus."Remus!" he gasped and the other boy chuckled, smiling softly at Sirius."Are you okay?" Sirius asked and Remus nodded, rubbing his thumb gently over the back of Sirius' hand."Yeah, i had an allergic reaction to the pain meds they gave me after you left" Remus told him, watching as Sirius perched himself beside Remus, his hand not letting go of his."i'm so sorry i wasn't here,Moony." Sirius whispered, looking down at his and Remus' hands."It's not your fault" Remus squeezed Sirius' hand, making him look up at him.He gave Remus a look and was immediately pulled into a hug.
They sat there,Remus holding Sirius, stroking a hand up and down his back gently as Sirius rested his head in the crook of Remus' neck."you're the one that just had a big allergic reaction, i should be comforting you" Sirius huffed a laugh and Remus smiled."You are.This is very nice" Sirius shifted so he could lie down beside Remus, an arm draped gently over Remus' stomach,One of Remus' hands resting on Sirius' back and the other in his hair."Are you falling asleep again?" Remus whispered and Sirius laughed quietly "yeah" he replied "Great,Me too" Remus smiled, resting his cheek on top of Sirius' hair, closing his eyes and listening to Sirius' soft breaths.
When hope walked into Remus' hospital room after stepping away to call his dad, she smiled at the sight of the two boys layed in Remus' hospital bed, both sleeping soundly.She smiled before pulling her phone out and taking a picture because what else was she meant to do? "What are you doing?" Remus whispered, slowly opening his eyes and looking at his mum."You're very cute you know that right?" She smiled and Remus rolled his eyes, accepting the juice box Hope handed him.Sirius shifted slightly beside him and Remus started gently carding his fingers through his hair, allowing him to settle again."He's very nice.I like him a lot" Hope whispered and Remus smiled, looking down at Sirius sleeping face."Yeah, me too" he smiled, watching as Sirius sighed contently."he cares about you a lot.The moment i walked in, he started apologising straight away.I thought he was going to breakdown" Hope chuckled as she looked at her son."i care about him a lot aswell" Remus nodded and Hope stood up,pressing a gentle kiss to Remus' forehead "i'm going to have some tea with your dad in the cafeteria and then he's coming to see you,Okay?" Hope asked and Remus nodded."Wait what time is it?" Remus asked and Hope checked her watch."4:43" she replied and Remus sighed, nodding with a smile and watching as she left the room.
Remus tilted his head to the side slightly, looking down at Sirius who was still sleeping, holding onto Remus."Sirius" Remus whispered, resting his free hand on Sirius' cheek."Sirius, wake up" he whispered again, stroking his thumb across Sirius' cheek.Sirius scrunched his eyes shut before opening them slowly, bringing a hand up to rub his knuckles into his eye."hey" Sirius whispered, smiling at Remus sleepily."good morning.I'm really sorry but it's like 4:45.I didn't realise otherwise i would have woken you up sooner, i know you have to get back to school." Remus spoke quietly, running his hands through Sirius' hair."Don't be daft,Moony.I'm not going back" Sirius replied, through a yawn."What?" Remus questioned and Sirius pulled himself up so he rested on his elbow, facing Remus beside him."i said, i am not going back.Not today at least" Sirius ran his finger across Remus' jawline softly before looking at him."And why is that?" Remus asked, raising an eyebrow at Sirius."Moony, be for real, i am not leaving you after you just scared me like that today.Unless you're going to kick me out, in which case i will go" Sirius smiled and Remus rolled his eyes."No, i will not kick you out Sirius.Plus, I believe we still have things to talk about?" Remus watched as Sirius smirked."that we do, my love.However that can wait until later, no?" Sirius asked and Remus nodded."Yes.That's better actually.My mums having food in the cafeteria with my dad then he's coming up to see me" Remus told him and Sirius nodded along."i see.I shall play the roll of your supportive straight friend" Sirius mocked with a salute making Remus laugh."thank you. Now, i believe you have snacks, correct?" Remus asked and Sirius began pulling himself to sit up, until Remus caught his face in his hands.Remus brought Sirius down into a slow kiss, making Sirius hum in delight."Not that i'm complaining.Like at all.But,what was that for?" Sirius asked with a smile."Thank you Sirius, for being so amazing" Sirius practically melted,pressing a kiss to Remus' cheek and standing up, grabbing the snacks off of the armchair.
Sirius certainly did not expect to meet both Remus' mum and dad in one day in a hospital setting but he did and it was surprisingly a lot less scary than he had convinced himself it would be.Sirius sat in the armchair beside Remus' bed, flicking through a magazine while talking to Remus about different fruits when his mum and dad walked in.Hope gave Sirius a warm smile to which he returned immediately. Llyal however, nodded at Sirius a tight lipped smile on his face, Sirius smiled at him and watched as Remus kissed his mum on the cheek. Remus had spoke to his dad about how he was feeling and what had happened, to which his dad nodded along, asking the occasional follow up question. Llyal didn't have a lot to say to Sirius which was fine by him because he was sure he'd nervously ramble about how beautiful Remus' eyes are or something.As his dad left, Remus smiled at Sirius in triumph."We did it, all thanks to you my supportive straight friend" Remus winked and Sirius barked a laugh."Ah yes" he nodded, dropping himself down onto Remus' bed again."Which was scarily good, by the way,Are you sure you aren't straight?" Remus asked and Sirius raised his eyebrows at him."Moony, i think we have established by some of today's activities that i am very tragically gay.Agreed?" Remus laughed as Sirius grinned at him."Very true.Speaking of..." Remus smiled and Sirius nodded, dropping his hand down to lay on top of Remus' which rested on Remus' stomach."Yes.I believe i have a very important question to ask you" Sirius grinned and Remus nodded excitedly."That you do" he replied and Sirius rolled his eyes."i have made the first move like three times today, don't you think it's your turn?" Sirius teased and Remus smirked."Nope" he replied, popping his lips together on the 'p'."chicken" Sirius joked "Come on, lover boy.Get on with it" Remus laughed and Sirius raised his eyebrows."A Bit eager are we? okay" Sirius cleared his throat dramatically before leaning forwards and looking at Remus, their faces level."Remus.Moony.Moons.Angel.Darling.My love." Sirius listed and Remus tried his best to hide his smile."Yes,Love?" Remus replied and Sirius smiled back."Would you do me the greatest honour of the year and be my boyfriend?" Sirius asked but before he could be given an answer,Remus pulled Sirius into a kiss, his hands cupping Sirius' face.Sirius laughed into the kiss before pulling away."So?" Sirius raised an eyebrow at Remus who rolled his eyes."Yes.I was making a first move.Arse" Remus joked and Sirius laughed, placing his hands on Remus' cheeks."Well not really but i'll allow it anyways" Sirius teased, pressing a kiss to Remus' forehead.
"Shouldn't you like, i don't know email Mcgonagall? at least let her know you're in fact alive?" Remus asked and Sirius pulled his phone out of his pocket."Oh shit,James think i'm dead.Erm whoops?" Sirius laughed before settling next to Remus, resting back against the bed.Remus lifted Sirius' arm up and rested it over his shoulders, before resting his head on Sirius' shoulder.

Sirius sighed and opened his emails, typing in Mcgonagall's name.He and Remus worked on a message together before Sirius clicked send.He put his phone back on the table beside the bed before turning to face Remus."i'm so glad you're okay,Moony" Sirius whispered and Remus smiled, turning his head to look at Sirius."Me too" he replied and Sirius pushed himself to rest on his elbow, looking down at Remus."And i'm so glad you said yes" The pair laughed and Sirius settled back down, his arm around Remus' shoulders and Remus' head resting on his shoulder.They layed watching Sirius' phone, scrolling through all of his socials together, small conversations between themselves.A gentle knock sounded against the door and Remus called a quick "come in" before going back to watching Sirius' phone.Hope walked in and smiled at the pair snuggled together, looking at Sirius' phone screen."Hello boys, i'm going now Remus, i'll be back early tomorrow, yes?" Hope smiled and Remus nodded."Sirius, dear do you need dropping off anywhere? school? home?" Hope asked and Sirius shook his head."No thank you,Mrs Lupin.I'm going to stay here tonight, if that's okay?" Sirius asked and Hope nodded."Yes, that's fine by me, but please call me Hope" she gave him a warm smile and Sirius nodded."Okay, i'm going,Love" Hope turned her attention back to Remus who nodded and waved."Love you" she called and Remus smiled "Love you too, mum" he replied, smiling as she walked out of the room.
Sirius read Mcgonagall's reply confirming that everything was okay and she thanked him for letting her know aswell as wishing Remus a speedy recovery.The pair ate the food that the nurses brought to their room while watching a movie playing on the small Tv on the wall.
"Sirius?" Remus broke the silence through the room.The lights were off and the pair were cuddled up in the hospital bed,Sirius' head resting on Remus' chest."mhm?" Sirius hummed sleepily and tilted his head back to look at Remus."Thank you" Remus whispered and Sirius smiled."Night,Moony" Sirius whispered,cuddling as close to Remus as he could without hurting him.
