Sirius' phone rang in his pocket,bringing the class' attention to him.He frowned and pulled his phone out of his pocket,reading the Caller Id.
'Moony'
"dude,who's calling you at this time?" James asked from beside Sirius,leaning towards him to read his phone screen.The boys shared a look which was quickly interrupted by the stern voice of their teacher.
"boys,do i need to remind you that phones are not permitted to be used during class time?" mcgonagall asked and Sirius looked up from his phone which was still vibrating in his hand."Uh,n-no...sorry" Sirius responded,his face scrunched up in confusion as he slipped his phone into his trouser pocket.
Of course,the moment Mcgonagall turned her back,he pulled his phone out holding it in his hands under his and James' desk and opened the message chain with Moony.

padfoot: moony?
is everything okay?
moony: i'm scared.
that was all Sirius needed.He knew something was wrong.Remus knew that Sirius would be in class but something was scaring him and he had called Sirius.Sirius stood up from his chair,once again attracting the whole classes attention.He fumbled with his phone."prongs" Sirius mumbled,pointing to his backpack to which James nodded agreeing to take care of it.
"Sirius.You need to sit down and put your phone away or i'll have to confiscate it and give you a detention" Mcgonagall was using her stern teaching voice but Sirius just walked backwards towards the door."Sorry,i- i've got to go" Sirius rushed before turning and leaving the classroom,dialing Remus' number as he rushed down the hall and into a small empty classroom.
"come on,Moony.Pick up.Please pick up" Sirius mumbled as he paced the length of the clasroom,his phone clutched in his hand,pressed to his ear.

"Remus?! Remus,are you okay?"
"Sirius"
"Remus,are you crying? what's wrong?"
"moony?"

"uhm...the doctors said i'm going into surgery"
