murder! yippee!

Mori heard a knock on the door to his office door. “Come in.” he said, never looking up from his paperwork.

“Hello boss, i would like to ask you about one of the missions you have for me this week.” Koyou slipped in. Mori thought he saw someone come in behind her, but he must be seeing things.

“Of course, come sit. What questions do you have for me?” He responded, moving his papers to the side. Koyou locked the door behind her discreetly, and did as he said.

“I will admit, my first few questions have nothing to do with the job. First of all, how did you train the demon prodigy to be so successful.”

“Oh, I just trained him how I do any member. He was truly born to be part of the mafia. His passing was such a shame.”

“Oh, really? I don't remember my training involving being brutally and repeatedly sexually assaulted. Or being beaten till I was on the brink of death then being told to fix it myself. Or being locked in my room for weeks, till I was starving, then being forced to eat till I puked. I don't remember any of that.”

“O-oh, where did you get that information from?”

“The victim himself. I will not let you hurt another child ever again.” Right after she said this, Mori felt himself being forced into a chokehold. The familiar scent of Hirotsu’s cologne flooding his senses. Hirotsu dragged Mori over and slammed him into the couch, Koyou simply watching from her seat. Hirotsu, never saying a word, brought a knife to the younger man’s throat, applying pressure before letting the blood out of his neck. The thick crimson sprayed like a sprinkler, eventually settling, only running out like drool. Hirotsu stood at the side of the couch until Mori stopped coughing. Until he stopped breathing. Koyou picked up a pen and began forging a suicide note while Hirotsu removed any proof that he had been at the crime scene

“Who do you want me to put as the next mafia boss?” Koyou asked, briefly pausing her writing

“...Me.” Hirotsu said apathetically. Koyou nodded along and began writing again

Koyou finished and placed the false note next to the couch, staining half of it with still warm blood.

Hirotsu cleaned for a few more minutes before both he and Koyou left the room as if nothing had ever happened.

When Hirotsu reached his room, he sat and began writing back to Dazai

---------------

Dazai had made it a week without visiting the infirmary, well, except for the occasional need for pain meds. It was unexpected that he’s made it this long. It was also unexpected that he received a letter. Stamped with the official Port Mafia emblem. The Mafia boss’s seal. Was Mori making a more direct attack on him since Rei was not bringing back results fast enough.

There was no point in speculating when he had the answers in his hands. He tore open the letter and began reading. This was not Mori’s handwriting.

“Dear, Osamu Dazai.

Hello, I wanted to inform you that Mori Ougai has passed, and left me with his position as the boss. I am dismantling DOE, the Wizarding community still has our full support with any troubles they may have. I also am not requiring that you return to the mafia. In fact I will not allow you to return to the mafia, live your life. Be a kid. And maybe get some therapy. Please for the love of god, get some therapy

Best of luck
-R. Hirotsu”
Dazai couldn’t believe it. This was what he had wanted ever since he had met Mori. This couldn’t be real.

He ran to the gang room, where a meeting was about to happen to discuss their plans for stealing Lockhart's test answers. Only Blaise, Draco, and Pansy were there, the Slytherin Common rooms being closer to the Room of Requirement than the Gryffindor common rooms

“Woah, calm down there, what’s wrong?” Pansy asked. Dazai, out of breath, simply put the letter on the table

Blaise was the first one to pick up the letter, his eyes scanning over the words. A small smile formed on his face. Pansy and Draco read the letter. Draco having to explain to Pansy stuff about the mafia.

“You did it. You’re free” Blaise said before wrapping Dazai in a hug
