Chapter 3
Sirius couldn't think about anything but what happened last night with Lupin. It was too intense, too painful. So that's why he decided to ignore him. Whatever happened before he lost his memory now doesn't matter. Sirius has only made mistakes before. It won't happen again.
That's why when he entered the classroom, where there were only two seats left, one next to Lupine and the other next to a Slytherin with terrible hair, I think he was a half-blood. -I don't know which friends you are talking about. And I'd be happy if you could introduce yourself so I know who I'm talking to.- says Sirius in an elegant and polite tone that he always uses with strangers, never knowing when he's an important person or not. The boy raised his confused face at Sirius raising an eyebrow as if asking him something.
-Severus Snape.- he says simply and Sirius doesn't think he's ever heard that name before and I think it's better. he could stay with him. He's a slytherin so his father will suit him.
-Nice to meet you, Severus.- he says politely faking a smile and Severus smiles back.
-Do you get along with your roommates?- Severus asks after half an hour, probably seeing the looks of his roommates on them, because Sirius could sense them and feel irritated.
-Not necessarily, I mean they're weirdos. They annoyed me from the first day here.- complains Sirius remembering the first meeting with them yesterday in the room.
-Don't spend too much time with them. They're bastards who make fun of the other students, I've also heard they're dangerous, especially Lupin.” Severus whispers in Sirius's ear, and at the mention of Lupin, Sirius looks back at him, already seeing the frown fixed on him . He then turns to look at Severus in confusion.
- Do you know something specific or is it just gossip? - asks Sirius seriously and his bank colleague smiles clearly knowing something.
-Yes, but I can't tell you, he's protected by the school, but you'll find out.- Severus says in a suspicious tone but somehow Sirius trusts what he's saying.
After that day Sirius spends quite a lot of time with Severus and once with him and the other Slytherins that his brother doesn't quite agree with. Within months of being good friends with them actually. And his father actually sent him a letter congratulating him on the entourage he had.
-Siri, why the hell are you stay with them? They are horrible people.- Regulus said when Sirius had come to stay in his room for a while because Lupin stays in their room all day and he certainly didn't want to be there.
-What's the matter, Reggie? They're Slytherins and dad's okay with me staying with them.-says Sirius casually not knowing why his brother had a problem with it in the first place.
-They're bastards, Sirius. You couldn't even stand them before. - says his brother irritated, completely giving up on reading his book.
-Before I was a fool it seems from what I keep hearing.- admits Sirius, all he hears about how he used to be, is that they were an idiot who rebelled for nothing.
-I think you're an idiot now. You have been mean to the muggle born since the beginning of the year. You used to get along well with those girls, now you always offend them when you walk past them. And you're always arguing with your roommates, even if they treat you nicely.- Regulus says, angry at Sirius' behavior. But don't get the point, Reg doesn't even care about all that.
-Oh, reggie, he seems to care about those mudbloods and blood traitors.- Sirius amused as Regulus' roommates entered the room.
-Oi, big black. Don't talk about people like that. - Crouch says before even entering the room.
-Why, Crouch, do you like mudbloods pussy?- Sirius taunts him, watching as Crouch gets visibly annoyed, and Rosier and Reggie look disinterestedly between the two of them.
-No, I prefer the pureblood dick, if you understand me.- he says with a cocky smile looking with a knowing look at Rosier who was visibly blushing at this. And Sirius is speechless looking between the two of them in shock. "Did the cat eat your tongue, big black?" he taunts Sirius now, and for no particular reason Sirius's mind goes back to Lupin and what he would have in pants.
-You two?- Sirius asks after a while pointing between Crouch and Rosier, who smile at each other before nodding.
"Why do you look so shocked?" Reggie asks looking at him confused and Sirius can't understand how his brother agrees with this. As Crouch and Rosier agree to this, they are from pure blood families after all.
-Do you agree with that?- Sirius asks looking at his brother then at the two boys on the other bed in the room.
-Siri, I'm gay, why wouldn't I agree with that?- says his brother, and Sirius is more confused than before.
-Are you like them?- Sirius asks with a strange feeling, he doesn't know how to react to this. He's his brother but that's wrong. You shouldn't like boys as a boy.
-Sirius, you know it's ok to be gay, right?- Regulus asks, and Sirius wants to say no, it's not ok. That he didn't know that. That it's wrong and disgusting, but he doesn't say any of that.
-I should go.- Sirius says and runs out of the room without further explanation.

-James, you don't understand, something is wrong with Sirius. He's been with Snape for months. He tauns of Lily and Mary all the time, and so of we. He's also homophobic, but he's gay and doesn't even know it. Everything is so wrong.- says Remus the same thing he has been repeating for months. Ever since they came back from vacation Sirius is now good friends with Snape. With snape of all people?
-I know, moony, I wanted to talk to Regulus, to find out something, but I'm afraid of him, he looks at me badly and scares me.- James admits, but Remus knows that the real reason why James doesn't talk to Regulus is because he can't function properly around the younger boy, but he would never admit that he has feelings for him.
-James, just talk to him, don't eat yourself. It's about Sirius. - he states seriously, thinking about how Sirius has been avoiding him since the first night back at Hogwarts, almost 2 months have passed since then. Halloween is already days away, and this year's party is unfortunately in Slytherin. And Sirius didn't even look at Remus, with James and Pete he always fights but Remus he just ignores and can't find out what happened to become like this. He has become what he always hated he would become and it pains Remus to see him like this. And he can't help him in any way.
-I'm going out for a walk, this room is already suffocating me.- says Remus and leaves without waiting for any answer from James. Strolling through the dimly lit halls of the castle. Remembering the times he used to sneak through them with Sirius after a prank or kiss. Now it's just him, walking alone without him. And this hurts more than anything Remus has ever been through, and he's an orphaned werewolf after all. And if his evening couldn't get any worse, out of nowhere Snape appears in front of him, and Remus can hardly control himself from punching him in the face just for existing.
-Hey, look who's being downcast? Poor wolf lost his puppy?” Snape speaks before Remus just walks past him but his words just won't let Remus go.
-What the hell do you want?- Remus says angrily looking back at Snape who had a mocking grin on his face.
-Oh, I just wanted to tell you that I understand why you liked that bitch so much. Do you know how good it makes me?" Snape continues and Remus' blood starts to boil with nerves. "Oh and that mouth, it's magical around my cock. Not to mention the way he calls my name for pleasure.- and Snape's words are cut short by Remus lunging at him and starting punching him in the face, seeing red before his eyes. He doesn't know if it's his nerves or maybe the blood on Snape's face and Remus' hands. He doesn't realize when someone stops him or when someone takes him to the hospital wing. Not even when a few spells are cast on him and he falls asleep.
When he wakes up, Remus is met with stormy blue eyes and glowing black bubbles, but not the ones he wanted to see.
-What got into you, Lupin. Do you want to be expelled? - asks Regulus Black angrily, perhaps worried. Even though others wouldn't say Remus and Regulus are pretty good friends but they don't really advertise it for many reasons, so it's not that strange to see Regulus by Remus' bedside in the hospital wing.
-He should have thought before he talked about what is mine.- growled Remus remembering why he got angry in the first place, making all his wolf senses activate again.
-So he taunts Sirius?- Regulus asks, raising an eyebrow in question, looking tired about it.
-Damn it.- murmured Remus completely ignoring Regulus' question.- And what exactly happened to Sirius?- Remus looked up at Regulus and the boy just averted his gaze.
-I can not tell you. But I take care of it, it takes longer because it's black magic. - explained Regulus visibly saddened by the circumstances.
"OK, but if James comes to you to ask about this, don't tell him we already talked." Remus says, because if James ever gets up the courage to talk to Regulus he wouldn't want to be the one to ruin the moment. .
-I would ask about it, but I don't want to know. I solved it with the teachers, stop getting into trouble, Lupin.- Regulus says getting up to leave but after a few steps he stops.- See you at the party, Lupin. And keep an eye on my brother.- he adds before continuing on his way, leaving Remus alone, thinking about how dramatic the Black brothers can be, with their exits from the room and all. And how much he misses Sirius' drama more precisely.
