Summary
Harry Potter was many things. He was a powerful wizard, the master of death, a powerful Auror, a problem-solver....sort of😅, and above all he was someone who craved family. He wanted a family that would love him for him and above all would not be FAKE! He had a good life...mostly after all that trash with Voldemort and the war but still he craved a new life where he could be loved and do what he wanted. He though the whole master of death thing was just a fancy title....yeah it wasn't😬🫣.It just didn't mean what he thought it did which was apparently reincarnation after a long as hell Wizarding life and being reborn into an immortal species! Not only that, he just so happened to be reborn as a character from a book he read as a kid that was on their way to being hated and tortured AGAIN.Yeah no.Harry Potter now Maeglin Lomion was not about to deal with a prissy princess, naive cowards, royal drama, psycho Demigods, crazy relatives, bigoted relatives, and FATE!He's gonna lead his own life this time and no ones gonna stop him!DEUCES FOLKS😏

Chapter 2

Year 421 of the First Age

Planning and Feelings

When Laurelin's fruit ,or as Harry/Lomion would forever call it the sun because it was just plain weird to call it anything else, rose across the mountains and shined it's golden rays through his window he had been sitting at his desk packing and mentally cataloging all the disasters he would have to stealthily prevent in order to have some semblance of a peaceful eternity in this world. He had also spent the early morning reflecting on his life before regaining his former memories. His most prominent memory being the times his mother, wow that felt weird to say as he never had the chance to know Lily Evans minus that one apparition that had appeared during his Fourth year which had once again tried to protect him, had let him chase her through the forest of Nan Elmoth and would let him grab her skirts as a young elfling. His mother always held him and would always tell him she loved him. Even before regaining his memories of his former life those memories and her love had been a balm to his soul. Sadly, it ended with him having another maternal figure sacrifice themselves to protect him and from his sire of all things.

Ugh, he always had loving mothers but they never seemed to last him till adulthood....what an odd problem to have. Who would he even vent this to?

Well at the least death for elves was not permanent apparently and one day he would reunite with her. However, that day was long far off from what he understood of how long it took to heal elven souls from their trauma and the fact she got killed by her husband would be a whole new mess this apparent keeper of the dead in Valinor, Mandos would have to contend with. At one point Harry/Lomion wondered that since he was the Master of Death would he somehow be Namo's boss?

Yeah, no.

He wasn't about to experiment with that...at least not yet or for a long while for that matter. He had more than a strong apprehension already to anything Maia or Ainur related for that matter that stemmed from his fathers side of the family. Now could he take Namo on in a fight? Probably, seeing as he was most definetly as strong as one of these "Valar" since becoming reacquainted with his magic. Either way he had too much on his plate as it is, what with all his newly acquired knowledge of the future. Yes, while he had become quite familiar with the Silmarillion he had also spent time reading Tolkien's the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books. Books that Dudley had also thrown away when Harry was younger. Why he threw away such good reads Harry would never understand. As Harry contemplated his cousins recklessness with books he began thinking of his father.

Ah yes, Eol.

Contrary to what most might think he didn't exactly hate his father. Was he angry? Oh most certainly. However, what everyone failed to notice that now Harry could was that Eol acted certain ways for a reason. Just as there was a reason Tom became a murderous dark lord...cough..cough..abuse. There was a reason Eol become progressively worse as the years went on. Honestly the elf went from being a father that let his son play on his lap and gave him tickle attacks to a brooding grump that wouldn't let him leave the forest to see the dwarves after he turned 60. Harry had a sinking suspicion that his father's reduced visits to Doriath and angry mutterings about the Girdle had something to do with it. Yes, Lomion had never been to Doriath and right now he was exceedingly grateful for it because the more ambiguous his existence was the easier his life would be for the foreseeable future. Harry also made a mental note that no matter what the bigoted and air headed elves of Gondolin said his father had never laid a hand on his mother, well except for that one honorable mention that ended in disaster. Rather he always wanted to make her happy by bringing her flowers and continously laying enchantments that made the forest more hospitable to game she could hunt. In the end though it wasn't enough to satisfy his mother's wild nature and eventually ended with her desire to see her relatives in the widespread lands of Beleriand. Eol however, knowing his wife's spiritualist nature probably guessed that if she left she probably wasn't coming back for a while. This fact combined with the elf's growing loneliness, fear of raising an elfling by himself, and stress from managing Nan Elmoth's malicious nature may have inhibited his ability to think straight in stressful situations. One such stressful situation being Turgon's control freak tendencies to try and tell people whether they could leave his city or not, and everyone knows how well that went.

With this final thought in mind Harry/Lomion began laying the necessary charms to create an expanded tent, broom, and bottomless bag for his foreseeable travel. What once was a dream had now become a simple chore after his many centuries of studying all forms of magic and easily replicating the charms needed to create these convenient magical items. Oh he how he missed flushing toilets and warm showers! One nice surprise he found was that he could apparently summon the deathly hallows and that included his wonderful invisibility cloak! That, combined with a "Silencio" charm would certainly become handy when escaping the city and carrying out his other plans. After a few more hours of packing through the whole morning Harry began writing down, in English, a list of all the disasters that would affect his future livelihood and most especially cause the deaths of his other relatives he had never met. Some honorable mentions being his numerous cousins from the sons of Feanor, his grandparents, aunt, other cousins (apparently they were all really blonde? Ugh, Malfoy), heck he was even related to Glorfindel somehow, and his....

....his grandfather.

He didn't know how to feel about him honestly. Just as he knew he wouldn't let the sons of Feanor meet their pre-deternined "fate" because of some shiny rocks and their fathers questionable decisions he wasn't about to let his grandfather, though they'd never met and probably wouldn't if he had anything to say about it, get off'd by some perverted psycho demi-god with severe daddy issues.

Yeah, no.

That wasn't happening, even if he had to secretly "Avada Kedavra" the creep from the air. Who knows people would probably just think Eru smitted him or something seeing as an elf wizard using a killing curse while riding a broomstick wouldn't be the first thing most people of this world would think of. Well maybe Gandalf but that's an issue for the third age. With his resolve finalized Lomion compiled his list of priorities as follows:

1. Steal the silmarils bring them to the Feanorians while somehow allowing Elrond and company to be born, meh shouldn't be that hard.

2. Make sure the Dagor Bragollach in 455 of the First Age ends in a win for the Noldor.

3. Somehow get those lazy Ainur in Valinor to hurry up and get here before s*** hits the fan.

4. Avoid Doriath relatives.

5. Avoid Mothers relatives, well maybe not the sons of Feanor. They'd know the least of him and wouldn't even know to look for someone.

6. Keep all his relatives from dying while staying ambiguous and lazing on the beach or a nice forest.

7. Possibly keep Beleriand from going for a long swim, though that may be a long shot.

Now while one might think he should prioritize preventing the fall of Gondolin, he didn't. The reality was Gondolin was always meant to fall. Whether it was written in the book or forseen by this Ulmo. Gondolin was never meant to last and whether the original Maeglin caused it or not, by the time 466 of the First Age came around the world was already a disaster zone. Gondolin would have been found regardless, the question though was who would be conveniently blamed for it after said person had been tortured and traumatized for the information. Only to be further traumatized by having all the Gondolindrim against you for something out of your control.

Yeah, no.

That wasn't gonna be him. The book could go burn in that regard. He did for a moment wonder for Idril's safety. Sure, he felt no familial love for his cousin anymore after the necklace incident but he certainly didn't wish her or Earendil death for that matter. However, Lomion quickly realized that she would most likely survive given that she would have regardless of the original Maeglin's actions. He did however wonder for his uncle but found he couldn't really find it in him to care. Maybe it was because he never had a moment to care for Turgon as he did Idril? Idril had been kind once but then did a 180° turn that broke Lomion's heart while Turgon had destroyed their relationship before it even began.

Harry/Lomion slammed his newly transfigured pack shut as he thought on this. Shaking his head he decided he would go to the kitchens and pack some food before his inevitable departure tomorrow night.

Yes, there's no point staying here anymore. Though I might as well see them one last time....maybe just maybe they might say something kind......

It was with this final thought that Harry/Lomion left for what would probably be his final time to the kitchens of the Kings Tower.
