Chapter 4
In the grandeur of Hogwarts' Great Hall, students swirled around Albus Potter in a lively dance. Polly Chapman's voice cut through the commotion, drawing attention to the enigmatic figure standing amidst the revelry.
"Albus Potter," she exclaimed, her tone filled with intrigue."Indeed, a Potter among us," Karl Jenkins chimed in, his curiosity piqued."And look at his hair, just like his father's," Yann Fredericks remarked, awe evident in his voice.Meanwhile, Rose Granger-Weasley approached, introducing herself amidst the whirl of introductions and movements.
"I'm Rose Granger-Weasley. Pleasure to meet you," she said, extending a hand as they turned gracefully.
As the Sorting Hat made its rounds, the atmosphere tensed as it neared Rose, who awaited her destiny with bated breath. With solemnity, the Sorting Hat began its timeless ritual, reciting its ancient verses.
"For centuries I've served this school,
Upon each head, my judgment's rule.
I delve into the minds profound,
For I'm the famous Sorting Hat renowned.
I've placed the brave, the cunning, and the wise,
Through trials and tribulations, I've devised.
So wear me now, and you shall see,
Which House your destiny decrees."
Rose Granger-Weasley, the hat announced, before placing itself atop her head."Gryffindor!" it declared, igniting cheers from the Gryffindor table as Rose joined her newfound comrades. "Thank Dumbledore," she expressed her gratitude, embracing her fate with humility. As Scorpius eagerly stepped forward, the Sorting Hat's penetrating gaze fell upon him, its decision imminent. "Scorpius Malfoy," it intoned, before bestowing its verdict. "Slytherin!" the hat proclaimed, prompting cheers from the Slytherin table as Scorpius accepted his fate with a nod and a half-smile.
"Well, that settles it," Polly Chapman, tomboy who was shorted in Gryffindor, remarked, the pieces of the puzzle falling into place in the intricate tapestry of Hogwarts tradition. As Albus swiftly makes his way to the front of the stage, the Sorting Hat declares, "Albus Potter." Placing the hat on Albus's head, the Sorting Hat seems to deliberate longer than usual, evoking a sense of confusion. Finally, it announces, "Slytherin!" A heavy silence descends, laden with tension and disbelief. Polly Chapman breaks the silence with a bewildered, "Slytherin?" Craig Bowker Jr. exclaims, "Whoa! A Potter? In Slytherin." Uncertain, Albus scans the room as Scorpius beams at him, inviting him to stand beside him. Thoroughly disoriented, Albus mutters, "Right. Yes." Yann Fredericks remarks, "I suppose his hair isn't that similar," while Rose voices her concern, "Albus? But this is wrong, Albus. This is not how it's supposed to be."
