Chapter 5

In the midst of the Hogwarts grounds, a flying lesson was underway, led by none other than Madam Hooch.

Madam Hooch's sharp voice cut through the air, commanding the attention of her students. "Well, what are you all waiting for? Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up."

The children scurried into position beside their brooms, anticipation tingling in the air. With a firm tone, Madam Hooch instructed, "Stick out your hands over your broom, and say, 'Up!'"

In unison, the students followed her command, their voices echoing across the open space. Rose and Yann's brooms responded eagerly to their call, soaring into their waiting hands. "Yes!" they exclaimed in triumph.

Madam Hooch's eyes swept over the class, urging them on. "Come on, now, I’ve no time for shirkers. Say 'Up,' as if you mean it."

The chorus of voices rang out again, and brooms lifted into the air, including Scorpius's. However, one broom remained stubbornly grounded - Albus's.

With growing frustration, Albus repeated the command, "Up. UP. UP." But his broom remained unmoved, defying his efforts. He watched it with a mixture of disbelief and desperation, while the laughter of his classmates filled the air.

Polly Chapman's, Roza best friend, voice carried above the others, dripping with mockery. "Oh Merlin’s beard, how humiliating! He really isn’t like his father at all, is he?"

Karl Jenkins joined in with a sneer, "Albus Potter, the Slytherin Squib."

Madam Hooch intervened, sensing the tension among her students. "Okay, children. Time to fly."
