Fatherless loser + Yandere Stalker
“Dude, singular by sanity falls is by FAR the best song”, Sal argued.
“No way man! Hollow is the best out of all of them!” Larry said back.
“I mean sure Hallow is good and all, but there’s no way to beat the lyrics on Singular.”
“BOYS, COME OUT HERE YOU GOT MAIL!” Lisa, Larry’s mom, yelled from the kitchen before the argument could go any further.
“We got mail? Nobody in Addison apartments ever gets mail, pretty sure the mail man quit.” Sal said, clearly confused.
Larry got up from the bean bag, hiding the weed he got from Todd’s dad under his bed, and went into the kitchen with sal following behind.
Lisa was already working on making dinner, the two letters were on the counter beside her. They entered with slightly red eyes. Sal grabbed the letter with his name on it and handed the other one to Larry. The both opened it at the same time, excited due to all the curiosity of what it could be.
“H-hogwarts? What the hell is that?” Sal asked to no one specifically. Lisa’s eyes went wide, she stopped what she was doing and looked over Larry’s shoulder at the letter. She gasped and took the letter from him and took sals too.
“Ah- I’m sorry boys, they must’ve gotten the wrong mailbox or something” she said trying to lie, but didn’t do a very good job due to her being an honest person naturally.
“Mom, it clearly had our names on it. What is Hogwarts?” Larry said, slightly frustrated.
Lisa sighed. “Ah, fine. You know that magical school everyone thought was a myth? Well, it’s real. It’s where your dad used to go, he abandoned us to be a wizard. So I’m sorry, but I simply can’t let you make the same mistake as him.”
Lisa hated talking about Larry’s father, but she felt like he was owed a true explanation finally.
“That place is real? No way!” Larry says trying to ignore the part about his dad. He always thought his dad left due to Larry just being unlucky. Turns out it wasn’t that.
“Huh. Cool.” Nothing really surprises sal. He’s seen a lot of stuff. A magic school with wizards really isn’t that unbelievable to him.
“Well…. If Jim was willing to leave Larry to be a wizard…. It must be pretty cool!” Sal says wanting to convince Lisa to let him and Larry go to Hogwarts.
Lisa thinks about it for a minute before deciding. “Fine. I’ll let you go, but if you stop writing to me and don’t visit, I’ll drag you boys home. And plus, we’d have to talk about it with Henry first”
Larry and sal look at each other, smiling. They both know Henry couldn’t care less about his kids, and they’ll definitely get to go. They take back their letters. “Thanks!” They both say excitedly to Lisa before running back to their room like little girls at a sleepover, they both wanna go talk shit.
Larry sits back down on his bean bag and sal sits on his bed. “We’ll finally get away from this horrendous town, and that asshole Travis” Larry says to sal.
Travis. Sal had forgotten about Travis. He wasn’t very close to Travis or anything, or knows much about him, but he knows his dad sucks. “Oh yeah, that asshole” Sal says hesitantly, not really meaning it.
Larry can tell Sals lying because of how long he’s known him, but he chooses not to comment on it for the time being. Larry pulls out his letter and reads over it again. “It says Hogwarts starts next week, and we need to go shopping at somewhere called ‘Diagon alley’? The fuck is a diagon?”
