tell me again why Sirius can't be involved? Remus signed as he sat across from James,Lily at his side.Since James started to become friends with Remus he took it upon himself to have Sirius and Regulus teach him sign language and Remus must admit,he's quite good at it.
When James had asked to come over to Remus and Lily's appartment to start the proposal planning,the pair had decided 1. to Keep Sirius out of it (James' idea) and 2. To bring Lily into it (Remus' idea) because Sirius was loud and would end up spilling the plans within seconds.However Lily had kept all of Remus' secrets and had also planned a lot of things,like their weekly dates because Remus just lets her choose.The common ground being that they wouldn't have Sirius to distract them by sitting on Remus or laughing with James but they would have Lily to help and to translate what Remus was signing if James needed her to.
It was a win win.He's Sirius James shrugged with a fond smile and Remus nodded and laughed quietly."So,Where is the main question.Because like hell can i remember every place i've ever taken Reg or every 'special' thing we've been and done" James joked and Remus took a second to think.What about the cafe? yeah we could decorate it,put like fairy lights and shit up Remus waited for James to understand and watched as a smile beamed onto his face."perfect!" he yelled.
The three of them sat up until midnight,in Remus' bed with a notebook being passed between them where they wrote the details and lists of things they'll need.
"Okay,so if you both come to the cafe tomorrow morning and Lily you can say you've got a new sofa delivered and ask me to come help maybe? then we can sneak away and go shopping" James suggested and Lily nodded.What about Sirius? the second he sees the three of us going out,he'll get jelous and want to join Remus asked and James held up a finger "Well my wonderful Remus,i'll get Regulus to distract him,without even knowing he's doing it.I'll rush Sirius in the morning so he leaves his stuff everywhere like he usually does then when Reg comes in he'll argue with him about it and when they argue i'll tell Sirius i'm leaving and he'll say yeah yeah and i'll quickly go" James looked between Remus and Lily,a smile on his face at his successfull planning.The pair nodded and James' smile grew which Remus didn't know how that was possible.
James left and made his way home, considering it was 10pm and he was on a run as far as Sirius and Regulus knew. Remus made him and Lily tea before the pair settled on the sofa, their favourite movie on.
The pair had fallen asleep within 10 minutes and slept for the rest of the movie until Lily woke up, gently waking Remus up aswell.
we saw about 10 minute of that, if that Remus laughed and Nodded before the pair put their mugs from their tea in the sink, deciding they'd just wash them in the morning.
shall we go to the café for 9 tomorrow? lily asked and Remus nodded before signing his good night and heading off to bed.
