movie night.
Remus had woken up three times during the night,each time had him feeling worse and worse because Aswell as having been up three times,Remus had also thrown up multiple times.
Lily had woken up each time and sat with him until he was okay again,rubbing her hand gently across his back in a soothing pattern.
Remus woke up for the fourth time at 9am.He layed still for a minute trying to decide if he was feeling better or not,when he felt the bed shift slightly beside him.He turned his head,ignoring the dull ache that sat behind his eyes and watched as Lily settled back down beside him.
She had been looking after him all night so he had guessed she had fallen asleep the last time.He brought up a heavy hand and gently ran the back of his hand against Lily's arm,watching as she peeled her eyes open.
She frowned in confusion before blinking and smiling at Remus who gave her a tired smile in Return.How are you feeling? Lily held her hands up so Remus could watch,the pain in his head growing from the concentration.He huffed out a breath of air and looked at Lily who gave him a sad smile.
i'll go make some tea Lily pushed herself to stand up and made her way into the kitchen,pulling out Remus' phone from her pocket once she was out of his view.
She dialed a facetime call to Sirius and listened to it ring through a few times before the call connected.Sirius' tired face came into view,his eyes barely open as he yawned and stretched."Hey" Lily smiled and Sirius huffed before rubbing his eyes."Morning" He spoke,his voice deep and hoarse from a night of singing.
"You okay?" Sirius asked and Lily nodded,propping the phone up so she could stir the two teas."Yeah,Except Remus had me up three times through the night.He couldnt stop throwing up.He looks awful" Lily sighed and Sirius pulled himself to sit up."Well is he okay now? do you want me to come over?" Lily laughed and shook her head."No,he'll be gutted about movie night though.He loves them" Sirius nodded "i mean,if he's up to it and only if he's up to it why don't me,James and Reg come to your appartment to watch the movie? then he can stay home?" Sirius suggested and Lily nodded,picking up Remus' tea in one hand and her phone in the other."i'll ask him now" Sirius nodded and settled back against the headboard of his bed.
Lily walked into Remus' room to see him sat against the headboard of his bed.His jumper had been discarded and dropped onto the floor beside his bed along with his shirt.Lily placed the tea down on his bedside table before pressing her hand against Remus' forehead."hot?" Lily asked and Remus nodded.
"I have someone who wants to see you.If you want" Lily smiled and Remus frowned curiously.Lily laughed quietly before handing Remus his phone,showing Sirius who was talking to someone behind the screen.
Remus' jaw dropped as he pointed the camera away from him,dramatically pointing at his hair."You look fine Remus" Lily laughed and Remus raised his eyebrows before bringing himself back into the camera,resting his phone against his knees so he could use his hands.
Sirius looked at the phone and immediately smiled."Hi,how are you feeling?" Sirius asked,making sure to keep his phone close to his face so Remus could read his lips.Okay.I'm just hot. Remus shrugged and Sirius smirked."Too right you are" He winked and Remus rolled his eyes before closing them for a second.
"Well,i was thinking that instead of you coming over when you are sick,maybe James,Reg and I could come to yours and Lilys appartment for movie night instead? Only if you feel up to it though" Sirius asked and Remus nodded before frowning.I don't want to get you sick though. Sirius shook his head,promising that he has a good immune system and 'barely ever gets sick'
Okay.I'd like that Remus signed and Sirius nodded.i'll see you later? Sirius signed back,taking slightly longer due to the cast that was still on his hand.Remus nodded and Sirius smiled.Okay,get some rest.I love you Remus smiled softly at the gesture i love you too he signed and settled down into his pillows,his blanket tossed away as he let the phone rest infront of him,the facetime still going while Remus slept and Sirius got himself ready for the day.
Remus ended up sleeping for two hours in his bed while Lily cleaned the appartment.Sirius was still on the call,his phone propped up on the kitchen counter as he made some tea,smiling softly as Remus rubbed at his eyes."Morning" Sirius spoke once he knew Remus was watching.Remus stretched his arms above his head,frowning as Lily walked in.
"feeling any better?" she asked and Remus shrugged,closing his eyes again."Hi Lily" Sirius shouted and Lily picked the phone up off of Remus' bed and looked at Sirius."You're still on call?" Lily asked and Sirius laughed.
"what time are we coming over?" Sirius asked as Lily propped the phone back up on the bed beside Remus.She placed a gentle hand on Remus' chest and tapped her finger making him open his eyes."What time do you want them to come over?" Lily asked and Remus looked to the phone at his side.Anytime.Soon though,otherwise i'll sleep again. Lily nodded with a smile before helping him up out of bed."Okay,see you soon" Sirius nodded before ending the call,allowing Lily to help Remus into the shower.
When Sirius,James and Regulus arrived,Remus was asleep on the sofa,once again his jumper and shirt discarded on the floor beside him.Sirius made his way over and knelt down beside him."How do you wake him up usually? i don't want to scare him" Sirius asked "as long as your gentle he's okay.I usually just like rub his arm or something."Lily replied before following James and Regulus into the kitchen where they placed the snacks they brought.
Sirius gently brushed Remus' hair out of his face,tracing his fingers gently down his face.Remus stirred and opened his eyes with a small sigh.He smiled softly at Sirius who pressed a gentle kiss on Remus' warm forehead.
"you okay?" Sirius asked,his hand stilling on Remus' cheek.Remus nodded tiredly as he leaned into Sirius' hand.
Lily,James and Regulus came back into the living room,each holding a bowl of snacks and settled down into the sofas.James and Regulus sat on one side of the sofa,Regulus' legs draped over James' as James wrapped his arm around Regulus' shoulders.Lily sat beside Regulus,resting against the arm of the sofa.
Remus held his arms out to Sirius who chuckled softly.i'll squish you,i don't want you throwing up again Sirius smiled and Remus sat up allowing Sirius to sit behind him and lay across the sofa.Remus took a sip of his tea before laying down,he layed on his stomach inbetween Sirius' legs,his cheek pressed into his chest as Sirius wrapped his arms around him,one hand playing with the loose set of curls at the back of Remus' head.
The movie went on and Remus layed against Sirius,a hand underneath his shirt,resting on his ribs gently.By the time the movie finished,Remus was fast asleep on Sirius,his head now resting in the crook of his neck as Sirius held him tight,also fast asleep.James and Regulus were asleep,curled into each other,James holding Regulus into him gently.Lily was the last one awake but soon fell asleep as the movie came to an end,her body curled up on the end of the sofa.
