Pewter City Exhibition!
Two imbeciles are seen digging a hole, in the middle of what would be a typical presentation speech to no audience they are interrupted.
"Meow, I don't know why you guys just talk and I stay here doing all the work!" The cat complains.
"We don't have much time, if they're going to Pewter City they're going to come through here!" Jesse said to James ignoring Meowth's speech.
"And they will fall right into our trap!" James added. Then they began to help in digging the hole.
"Come on, we have little time, if we dig and cover it they'll never find out it's a trap, Ha Ha, perfect!" Meowth said to them.
"Aaaaaah!" James exclaimed in despair. "I forgot where the trap is!"
"Wasn't it here?" Jesse asked.
"Or maybe here?" James replied.
"Is there!?"
In the midst of questioning, they realized that the floor had started to collapse.
"Aaaaaaaah." And they fall into the hole.
Ash, Harry, Misty and their Pokémon finally arrive in Pewter City, after being taken by a strange old man to the Pokémon Center they begin to talk about how they are going to do the challenge.
"Well Ash, any plans for the gym?" Harry asks curiously.
"Actually..." Ash scratches the back of his head shyly. "I expected you to go first."
"Same?" Harry asks, even though he's not surprised, he understands where Ash is coming from.
"Yes, well, you have a lot more experience and none of my pokemon give me an advantage in a stone gym, so I thought it would be best to observe your battle and try to put together a strategy." Ash explained.
"I don't see a problem, I can help you too, after all my Pokémon know some attacks that would be useful for you." Harry smiled at the teenager.
"Really? Cool!" Ash said excitedly, he was happy to learn training methods from a trainer like Harry, it has nothing to do with spending quality time with Harry, no really, you're thinking that, not Ash.
They then hear a hoarse laugh. "You don't want to fool me by saying you're going to challenge Brock."
"And what do you mean by that old man?" Harry raised an eyebrow, he didn't even bother trying to remember the old man's name.
"You have no chance of beating him." The old man let out another hoarse laugh... And simply left. Harry was very tempted to just blast the old man out of the stratosphere.
But he didn't care about it. Soon they went to lunch and after leaving the food out they decided to go to the gym, having already chosen their Pokémon Harry wasn't worried, he knew exactly what was going to happen, it was always the same thing.
Upon arriving at the gym, which looked like a square stone that made Harry turn up his nose at the lack of creativity, they opened the door to find everything dark. "Hello?" Harry called as he entered.
"Who's there?" A spotlight turned on showing presumably the gym leader, he looked like a teenager between 18 and 19 years old.
"You must be the gym leader." Harry stated for context. "I am Harry Blackthorn from Laverre City in Kalos. I am here to challenge you for the badge."
"Is this your first gym battle?" He questioned without introducing himself back, which Harry found rude considering he already forgot the Gym Leader's name.
"No, it won't be, I have experience in battle so don't use pokemon for beginner trainers." Harry stated, he was very aware of how the Gym Leader methodology works, himself constantly acting as Laverre's gym leader. Trainers in their first fights faced a weaker team, more experienced trainers, stronger teams, Harry tended to use his Sylveon which was trained very well to control how much power he used, thus being able to face any type of trainer, of course, with the most powerful trainers. weak Sylveon had to pretend to faint, under no circumstances would he be knocked out by a beginner Pokémon.
"Here at Pewter Gym, we will use two Pokémon, with substitutions, understood?" The gym leader questioned to which Harry nodded.
"By the way." Harry caught his eye. "What's your name? I don't remember it." Harry spoke making all three humans and Pikachu sweatdrop at the question.
"I'm Brock." Brock replied.
"Okay, let's go then." Harry walked to the other side of the battlefield where the challenger would be.
Brock then snapped his fingers causing the lights to come on and the field to close showing a field of stone.
"I'll go first then." Harry said without worry as Ash and Misty went to the stands. "Sylveon, to the stage!" He then released the Entwined Pokémon.
"Really? That's your choice?" Brock looked disappointed, which Harry already expected, everyone is the same when they see Sylveon for the first time. Brock then released a Geodude which made Harry furious, he knows Sylveon is cute, but underestimating Harry like that made him furious.
With his anger, a murderous aura began to leak from Harry, making Ash, Pikachu and Misty tremble nervously.
"Brock is dead isn't he?" Ash asked shakily.
"Completely." Misty responded in the same state.
"Pika!"
Brock himself seemed oblivious to this, so he only commanded an attack. "Geodude, Rollout!"
Harry just gave a cold smile. "Syl, tie him up with your ribbons, please."
"Syl!" Sylveon, with anger that mirrored his trainer's quickly complied with the command, making Geodude stand still.
"What!?!" Brock exclaimed in disbelief.
"Oh, man..." Ash said.
"Now I finished off that stone with a Magic Leaf!"
The attack doesn't take five seconds causing an explosion of smoke, when the smoke clears, an unconscious Geodude and a smug Sylveon are revealed.
"You made a mistake by underestimating us." Harry was just as smug as Sylveon.
"I won't do it again, go Onix!" Brock then releases his next Pokémon, which appears with a loud roar, a huge Pokémon made of stone.
"Onix, huh? I think we're going to make a change too, Sylveon, come back!" Sylveon then jumped across the field and returned to his trainer's side.
"That was a quick victory." Ash spoke to Misty and Pikachu.
"Do not tell me that."
"Pikachu, PikachuPi"
"Let's go with you then, to the Garchomp stage!" Harry then threw his Pokéball.
"Gaaaarchomp!" Garchomp lets out its own roar, looking unimpressed at the Pokémon in front of it, something that seemed to irritate Onix.
"Onix, Rock Slide!" With the command, the Pokémon began to release several rocks towards Garchomp, to which Harry just let out a bored sigh and told him to dodge.
"Fly high and Dragon Dance." Garchomp immediately did as his trainer said, after climbing up he did a few acrobatic turns and glowed a purplish blue hue.
"What was this?" Misty asked, to which Ash immediately checked the Pokedex.
"Where is it, where is it... Here! Dragon Dance, it is a Dragon Type move obviously, which when used increases the user's speed and physical attack!" Ash replied.
"Wow, this is tricky for Brock, Garchomp is already incredibly powerful, increasing his power makes him a wrecking ball!" Misty said in awe.
"Sandstorm!" Harry called in the next attack and soon a large, dense Sandstorm took over the battlefield. Of course, this was just a distraction, but Brock didn't need to know.
"Onix, use Dig." After his trainer's call, Onix immediately went underground.
"Wrong move!" Harry smiled with malice. "Garchomp, end this with Earthquake!"
"Oh, no! Onix, get out of there!" Brock called out in desperation, but there was no time, Garchomp quickly flew towards the ground and stamped his feet on the ground causing large waves of tremors to shake the gym, then the floor broke and an unconscious Onix came out of the ground shaking.
"Wooooow..." Ash looked in amazement, it's a good thing he asked for help, traveling with a trainer like Harry he will definitely learn a lot of things.
"Well..." Brock let out a sigh. "I think that's it." He said and returned Onix, then approached Harry and Garchomp and had an embarrassed expression. "I underestimated you and that was a big mistake, but here is your prize, the Boulder Badge." Brock then handed Harry a gray hexagonal badge, the design seemed old fashioned to Harry considering how elaborate Kalos badges are but he had no further complaints.
"Thanks Brock." Harry smiled briefly at the Gym Leader, then he turned to Ash. "So after this demonstration are you ready for some training?" Harry asked smiling, which was soon answered by an excited smile from Ash.
"You bet!" Ash smiled even more at the idea.
