Chapter 4
“Ve have very little time if ve want to leave and get to Marineford before Fire Fist’s execution.” Ivankov said as he led the way to a large room that looked similar to both the cavern that Regulus had switched the horcrux in and the cafeteria at Harry’s primary school.
It was filled with people in odd outfits rushing around and Luffy had already made his way to a long buffet table at the other end of the room. Figuring that he should probably get himself some food, that his body could handle, to prepare for whatever situation his Potter luck has gotten him into; Harry joined Luffy by the buffet and ladened a plate with easy to digest but filling food. It took Harry very little time to realize that the man he had decided to follow had sticky fingers when it came to food and placed a ward around his food.
It was only seconds before Luffy attempted to snatch some food from Harry’s plate and was given a little shock that could affect a rubber human. Luffy whined as he pulled his hand back muttering “Stingy,” before continuing to devour more food. Harry’s lips twitched as if beginning to smirk but never completing the action.
“If this wasn’t my first meal in over two thousand years, I might have let you have some.” Harry said calmly. Luffy paused in his food frenzy to look at Harry with shock as if only just realizing how many meals had been missed. Shaking his head, Luffy resumed his frenzy but began placing different foods on Harry’s plate. Harry let out a chuckling sigh as he continued to eat most things on his plate.
Ivankov hadn’t been lying when he said that they had very little time to prepare, seeing as most of the people in the room had been rushing around gathering supplies and eating as they did an assortment of jobs. Jinbei eventually ended up standing near Harry and Luffy, eating a small meal away from the sticky fingers of one Monkey D Luffy.
“So anything I should know about this place, our current situation, or our upcoming situation?” Harry asked at large, though he was primarily aiming the question at the Fishman beside him. Luffy looked at him with a semi blank expression. Jinbei paused glancing between his former cellmate and the rookie captain before answering the question.
“This place as in Impel Down? Or the world at large?” He asked.
“Impel Down primarily but basic information about the world and wherever we’re headed for the execution would be useful.” Harry replied. Jinbei paused for a moment gathering his thoughts before speaking.
“As Sir Crocodile said, we are currently in Impel Down the most secure prison that the World Government has. It is a part of their Marines three centers of power. Enies Lobby is the center of Justice-“
“It’s gone now. The Marines did their buster thing.” Luffy interrupted. Jinbei stared at him before continuing with his explanation.
“I wasn’t sure if the rumors were true, but yes Enies Lobby was buster called and no longer exists. Impel Down is the center of punishment and a threat for anyone who tries to disrupt the current world order. Lastly we have Marineford, current Marine Headquarters and the location of the execution of Portgas D. Ace, Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Once everything is ready, we will have to get to the first floor of the prison to escape.” Jinbei continued. Harry nodded, indicating he was following the explanation.
“To get to the top we will have to most likely fight through the main guards including Warden Magellan who has the Venom-Venom devil fruit giving him the ability to create and control poison and other toxins. There are also multiple other guards and their superiors some of whom also command control over the different animals here in the prison.” Jinbei explained, glancing at Harry to make sure he was still following.
“Once we get out of the prison we will have to commandeer one of the Marine ships and eliminate the rest before we can leave. We will then have to take the Tub Current-“ Jinbei continued on but Harry cut him off.
“I think I have enough of an understanding of where we currently are and it looks like we will be leaving soon. Perhaps we should continue this conversation when we have gotten out of here.” He said pragmatically. Jinbei paused, before nodding as more and more people began to gather near one of the exits.
