Summary

The World Government thought they knew exactly what they were getting into when they announced their intention to execute Portgas D. Ace, 2nd Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. They did not know that their announcement would end up waking the mythical beast that slumbered within Impel Down.

End of the Year Update

Happy New Year’s Eve (and Happy New Year’s to everyone reading this in the future)!

A little life update; I have left one of my jobs back in July and my full time work has been incredibly busy. Since it’s a large research lab company with lots of labs, some were negatively impacted by Hurricanes Milton and Helene, which led to all of us unaffected labs pitching in and taking on some of their work as well as our own. So we were in chaos for much of October and November… and then one of the tests was slammed with 2000+ samples so I have been putting in lots of extra hours. Yeah! Money! Unfortunately I’m exhausted by the end of the day so have been struggling with motivation and inspiration for this upcoming chapter.

I have made the decision to take each level of Impel Down as its own chapter (which is a little difficult at times because the episodes don’t really do the same). So we will be out of Impel Down in about four more chapters (depending upon how much content there is per level). The travel to Marineford will be another one, maybe two, chapters. But after that chapter count is out the window.

Things at work seem to be going back to normal winter work load, so I hope to have more energy to continue working on this project more.

“Is this supposed to slow me down?” Crocodile commented sarcastically. Harry scoffed in agreement, bringing his wand up with a spell on his lips to aid the other man in whatever his plan was. Harry was impressed to see that he could completely destroy the door through his devil fruit. As the doors crashed down into the new level, it revealed a contingent of guards who were all pointing their guns at the entrance.

“I’ve got this.” Harry said as he stepped in front of the other three and lifted his wand. Crocodile and Jinbei looked at him weirdly as if they couldn’t see the wand clutched in his hand while Luffy had stars in his eyes.

“Protego Maxima.” Harry said softly as bolts cracked against the newly raised shield. The guards all seemed to be torn between screaming or shaking in muted terror.
