Chapter 3
Harry stared at the boy before slowly turning towards the drag queen.
“Did I just agree to following an idiot, xir?” He asked seriously.
“Ivankov, he/him currently. And it vould appear to be the case. However, his father is similar. Very smart and not at the same time.” the drag queen, Ivankov, replied. Harry snorted in amusement with that comment.
“Damn Potter luck. Better an idiot than a homicidal megalomaniac.” Harry muttered to himself. Jinbei and another inmate gave Harry a weird look before they were being ushered up a ramp that had been cut from the solid stone.
“Huh… Azkaban sure has changed since I fell asleep. I was on the top floor last I remember.” Harry muttered softly.
“What’s Azrban?…Akrban?” Luffy asked as he looked back at Harry as they ran.
“Azkaban is the name of this prison when my imprisonment here first started. What’s it’s name now?” Harry replied tossing his question out to anyone who could provide the answer.
“Impel Down. The most secure prison the World Government has.” one of the other escapees replied.
“Huh… and you are?” Harry queried.
“Sir Crocodile.” Came the clipped response.
“Not one for small talk, okay then.” Harry said with a shrug, before asking, “Any particular reason why we are trying to escape? And who’s Ace? And why does he need saving?”
“Ace is my brother. And the marines want to execute him. I would’ve reached him in time but the big nasty jail man poisoned me.” Luffy said as he dropped back to run by Harry.
“What did he do that made the marines want to execute him?” Harry asked not entirely sure if he wanted to know the reason but figured that he could use Luffy’s answer to help him understand the new world order.
“Dunno? Ace-nii is a pirate too and he told me he’s apart of a really important crew in the New World. Other than that… there’s only one thing… but no one is supposed to know-” Luffy was saying before Harry placed his hand over the teen’s mouth, not that Harry kept it there for long.
“No need to tell me the secret. Maybe later when we can talk alone or even better after we’ve saved your brother.” Harry told him. Luffy blinked before nodding and grinning largely. By that time, the group had made it out of the level that Crocodile, Jinbei, and Harry had been locked up in. Ivankov had opened a door that had been hidden within the walls of the staircase they had entered and was ushering everyone inside.
