Chapter 2
Remus woke up to a pounding headache. He could hear James and Peter’s voices but he couldn’t hear what they were saying. He stretched out his arms and yawned.
He suddenly sat up so aggressively in his bed, he almost fell off the side. What the fuck happened between him and Sirius last night. He remembers everything. Oh god Sirius is going to hate him and never speak to him again. He may as well start packing his bags to move out. Hell James and Pete probably already know and at just waiting to scream and kick him out.
He hears the door to the dorm open and close, and there were no more voices, he was alone. or so he thought. suddenly his curtains spread and Sirius’s big grey eyes peered back at him.
“mornin’ Moony” He said with a small smile. Remus just stared at him, did he not remember what happened? Sirius didn’t wait for Remus to respond before climbing into his bed and sitting down next to Remus.
“I think we need to talk.” Sirius said and Remus’s stomach sank.
“yea recon we should” Remus mumbled looking down. He waited for Sirius to say something more, but it was silent. Remus looked up at Sirius and he had a sad look on his face.
“I’m so sorry Remus, I- I don’t know what came over me last night and- and I know you probably hate me and I’m sorry but-“
“hate you?” Remus has truly never been more confused. Why would Remus hate Sirius, if anything he should hate Remus because he was gay. “Sirius I could never hate you, you should hate me.”
“What? But last night, I- I took advantage of you.. and you must realize that.. that I’m-“ his voice was cracking. “Fuck I can’t even admit it.” He let out a sad exasperated laugh.
“That you’re what?” Remus asked. This is not the conversation that he had been expecting to have with Sirius but he didn’t want to start to get his hopes up.
“i’m gay” Sirius whispered. “and I think I love you, or whatever. I’m sorry”
Remus sat there dumbfounded. “you’re what?”
“please Rem don’t make me say it again.” Sirius said sadly. All of a sudden Remus seemed to snap back into his senses. He turned to Sirius, grabbed his face and kissed him with such force that he shoved Sirius into the headboard, hard. Sirius responded instantly and kissed him back. It only lasted a few moments before Sirius pulled back, “wait I- i’m confused.”
Remus just smiled at him and said. “I love you too you knob.”
“What? You- you do?” Sirius stared at remus, his eyes huge and mouth slightly open.
“since 2nd year.” Remus smirked.
“WHAT?! you’re telling me we could have been doing this the whole time?” Sirius wailed.
Remus felt his cheeks heat up. But his smile was the biggest it’s ever been. Sirius lunged at Remus and caught his lips between his. They were both smiling into the kiss, teeth clashing.
“awww gross guys, please spare us.” Peter’s voice rang out. Remus and Sirius jumped apart, and Peter and James were standing at the door.
“YES PETE THIS IS GROUNDBREAKING!” James screamed, as he rattled Peter back and forth by his shoulders.
“Close the curtains next time, or i’ll hex all your hair off black.” Peter said.
“HEY! Why must you hate love so much Pete.”
“oooh so that’s what this is, you two are in loveee.” James singsonged.
“cut it out Potter, leave us alone.” Sirius deadpanned.
“Fine fine, but please hurry up you two, I don’t want to be late to breakfast.” James said.
Sirius waved him off as he walked down the stairs. before Peter closed the door, he turned back around and said. “I’m happy for you bloody idiots, I was going proper mad watching you two dance around each other.” Sirius and Remus smiled at him and he closed the door behind him.
“Come on moony, let’s get you fed before the big night tonight.” Sirius said
Remus groaned “ughh don’t remind me, I was enjoying my morning.”
Sirius just smiled and rested his head on Remus’s shoulder, he grabbed Remus’s hand and rubbed tiny circles in his palm. Remus couldn’t be happier.
