To the infirmary

“So, Nakahara... Why are you coming now of all times?”

He felt kind of uncomfortable with all this ‘changing friends every five minutes’ thing, but he’s sure to stick with these people because they’re his classmates. Having a bad impression on them seems like a really bad idea. They had already done introductions, and he let all their names into his mind. Seamus, Dean, Neville, Parvarti and Lavender.

“Ah... Beauxbatons didn’t realize they missed me in first year until now. Their student registry was filled, so they asked that I came here instead. And please, call me Chuuya.”

“Oh, alright then, Chuuya.”

Someone made a loud, snarky remark behind him. Neville shuddered intensely from across him, and the others all looked upset as well. He raised an eyebrow and continued eating. The girls (who sat next to Neville) shot him, and whoever was behind him, glance after glance as if the remark was about him. Three boys strode up to the end of their table, green accessories quite noticeable compared to theirs. Slytherins, then.

“Can we help you?”

Everyone was either seething from anger or too scared to speak. The two fat guys grunted, but the boy in between them cleared his throat and extended a hand.

“Draco Malfoy,” he introduced himself as, “I didn’t know there was a secret Weasley brother hiding this entire time. What, did your parents get much money off selling you?”

His fork snapped and clattered onto the table, a piece even fell onto the ground. Draco didn’t pay much mind to this (what was he, deaf? Blind?), and smirked down on him. Chuuya stood up. Although he was a lot shorter than Draco (seriously, why would Dazai let this dickhead into his gang?) and his two bodyguards, he could still beat them to a pulp.

“Say that again, I dare you.”

By now, half the people in the hall were watching them. The silence made his threat even more apparent. The fat guys started chuckling, as if something unsaid was funny. What fucktards. He also recognized Professor McGonagall who was distracted by two identical redheads down the table.

“I reckon it was probably a few gallons, huh? What, did that last your family a-”

He was abruptly cut off as Chuuya seized him by the throat. The two ‘bodyguards’ had just continued to stand there, mouths agape (did they seriously not think someone would fight back?) as Draco tried escaping his hold, writhing and clumsily grabbing onto his arm. He squeezed tighter, the uncontrollable anger coming from Arahabaki bubbling inside of him quickly and punishingly. He met eyes with the blonde. Grey met Red. He smiled, before dropping him completely.

“Shut it if you know any better.”

By now, McGonagall was attracted to the sound as fat 1 and fat 2 tried leaving, tripping over the banner hanging at the end of the table and hitting the wooden floor with a thud. Idiots. He didn’t make any further noises or movements as he watched McGonagall, quickly followed by Snape, come towards them. She gripped his wrist tightly. If it were any harder, her nails would dig into his skin hard enough to make it bleed.

“What do you think you’re doing, hurting another student like that! On your first day, too!”

“He was defending himself, Professor! Draco had made fun of him.”

Whoever that was probably didn’t need to defend him, but she let go of his wrist. It ached as he rubbed it. His timetable was handed back to him as Snape reached the spot. Draco was still conscious, but only just. He couldn’t seem to meet his eye. Is this seriously the first time he’s been hurt from talking shit?

“Severus, would you mind taking this lot, Goyle and Crabbe with you to get witness reports? We’ll take Draco to the infirmary on our way.”

“I don’t mind at all. Come!”

The group of Gryffindors (and fat 1 and fat 2- Crabbe and Goyle- from the floor) hastily got up and followed Snape out the main door. He stood there as McGonagall used some sort of levitating charm on Draco and only moved once she started walking. The whispers were left behind him, replacing themselves with the echoes of McGonagall’s footsteps down the echoing hallway.

Up a spiraling staircase, turning right and down the hall, only to turn left and go up another flight of stairs. As they walked through a seemingly endless hallway, doors seemingly repeating themselves, he caught sight of a ghost around the corner. McGonagall went towards it. Was this how people navigated this place? Following ghosts?

“Peeves.”

By the way she said that Chuuya’s assuming he’s wrong.

“What are you doing here? Up to no good, I suspect?”

The ghost, seemingly caught red handed, dropped everything he was holding and zoomed away. Paint spilled across the ground below them. It wasn’t long before Filch (The caretaker, he heard) slammed his office door open and started rapidly cleaning the paint up, cursing Peeves as he went. McGonagall turned the other corner. They went up another lot of stairs and turned left. At the very end of the hallway, there was a sign hanging above a door. The infirmary. They went down the hall.

Two beds had patients, but Chuuya couldn’t tell the difference between them aside from the fact that one had a very heavy nosebleed, and the other was puking into a bin. Chuuya wasn’t sure he wanted to know how that happened. Especially to the infamous Weasley twins, who he could've sworn were down in the great hall not even ten minutes ago. Dazai had talked a lot about them, and Chuuya listened because it made the brunette feel better, but now...

“Come in, you lot.”

The voice called to them. Soft, somewhat pleasant. The nurse, or matron, or whatever she was. He followed McGonagall inside.

“You aren’t injured, are you, Mr. Nakahara?”

“No, Miss.”

She sighed.

“Snape and I have already agreed on appropriate punishment. For the both of you. Tell Draco that he will have a week’s worth of detentions starting tomorrow after his last lesson with Snape. You will have a week and a half. Twenty points of Slytherin, fifty points of Gryffindor.”

“Understood.”

She sighed at his short answer.

“Mr. Nakahara, that was extremely disrespectful of you. Why did you think that it was okay to injure another student like that, and to this extreme! I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in your behavior, especially considering today was your first day. Now, I will go visit Professor Snape in the dungeons. You are to stay here and think about the consequences of your actions. You're free to leave once you tell Draco about his detentions.”

“Yes, Professor.”

She left the room, partially hurried. Chuuya’s gaze didn’t leave Draco, who had been put in a bed. He grabbed a chair from the stack against the wall and sat down. The nurse momentarily pulled Draco’s curtains up and went to inspect his condition.

“So, Mr. Nakahara, the new student?”

He blinked up from the ground. The Weasley twins stared right at him.
