Chapter 12
Harry pushed into Jasper as they kissed. He opened his mouth to deepen the kiss. Jasper moaned and began exploring his mouth with his tongue. Harry hesitantly began doing the same. Eventually, Jasper had to stop and was left panting. He was quickly across the room and had a Blood Pop in his mouth.
"I'm sorry." Harry panted as he watched Jasper. "I shouldn't have pushed you...."
"No, it's fine." Jasper said going and sitting down next to Harry again. "I had mastered my control kissing you like that before...I will do it again. We will just have to go slow......"
Harry nodded and leaned against him. He didn't want to go slow anymore.
"Can I tell you something?" Harry wondered.
"Of course, Darlin'."
"Like you, I'm never going to die. I'm seventeen forever." Harry sighed and showed him his necklace. "There is an old fairy tale in our world...." Harry summoned his Bettle the Bard book and opened it to the correct chapter. He read it out loud and then showed Jasper his necklace again. "The Elder Wand." he traced the line on the necklace. "The Resurrection Stone." he traced the circle. "And the Invisibility Cloak." He traced the triangle. "I won the wand. Dumbledore had it but Draco disarmed him and I disarmed Draco so it became mine. Dumbledore sent me the stone for keeping, and the cloak is an heirloom. I'm descended from the youngest brother in the story and it's been passed down to the eldest child. When you master all three of these items you become the Master of Death. I died at seventeen. I walked to my death so that I could save everyone. I chose to come back and now I'm the Master of Death. I can't die but I'm not a vampire...." He sent his book back to the shelf. "What I'm saying is that you and I will be together forever."
Jasper's mind and heart were racing at those words. He wanted to take Harry right then and there but knew that Harry wasn't ready and that he wouldn't be able to control himself. He wanted their first time together to be special.
"I haven't told anyone else about it." Harry informed. "I've only told you. I should probably tell them but every time I try the words just get lost."
"Together forever with neither of us ever aging." Jasper hummed. "I used to hate the thought of never getting old or dying but now it seems like paradise because I have you."
Harry blushed deeply and snuggled into his side.
"HARRY!"
Harry glared as Alice burst into his room with the others trying to stop her. He and Jasper had been kissing again.
"Harry, Edward's gone off the rails! He's kidnapped Bella and took her to Phoenix!" Alice cried. "He used his mental shields to block me from reading his decision! They are in trouble! We have to go help!"
Harry sighed. He just wanted time alone with Jasper but they had to go save Bland Bella again.
Bella screamed as James, one of the rogue vampires, bit her and began feeding. Suddenly, she was released. She watched James be blasted into the wall. Edward was suddenly there fighting him. Harry was kneeling at her side with Carlisle. She saw blurs of the others. She watched Draco, Harry, and Luna use magic of some kind to set James on fire.
"We have to do something, she's changing!" Edward cried.
"No, she's not!" Draco laughed with scoff. "It takes three days of being bit ending in death before you turn someone into a vampire. How do you not know that?"
"Death hangs over her." Harry spoke up.
"Can she be saved?" Jasper wondered. "Or will Death take her?"
"What?!" Edward demanded.
Bella watched Harry pull out his necklace and they all saw it glowing brightly. She hoped that didn't mean that she was going to die.
"Her femoral artery has been hit in her fall." Carlisle informed.
"She can be saved but Death is looming." Harry's voice reached her ears.
Bella hadn't made it despite their best efforts. Severus had even used magic but they hadn't gotten there fast enough. Harry hadn't wanted to summon Death to claim her but Death had showed up and done it anyway. Edward was beside himself. He was spiraling into depression. Jacob had been upset as well.
No one outside of the group had spoken about Bella being killed because she was just reported missing. Edward had said that he would take care of it. He'd trashed Bella's old home,put her in the bed, and left a trail that made it look like a stalker or serial killer had gotten to her. Draco had helped remove any trace of Edward in the house. They'd found her three days later due to an 'anonymous' call about a smell coming from the house.
Charlie and Bella's mom were beside themselves.
Edward hadn't wanted to stay in Forks after losing Bella. He wouldn't listen to them saying that she was only his singer.
"Harry, I had a vision." Luna said as she entered the sitting room. "It's Hermione. If we don't go to St. Louis, she will die. Also, I saw her standing with Edward in a wedding dress."
Harry gave her a look that clearly asked her why he should care.
"Harry." Luna repeated. "Harrrrry...."
"Ugh! Fine!" Harry sighed. "We'll go to St. Louis. I don't like it in this stupid small town anyway but if she pulls any of her damn crap with me she won't live long enough to regret it!"
A week later there they were at a Black Property in St. Louis, Missouri.
"Why are we at the Addams Family mansion?" Emmett asked.
"I love it!" Harry declared beaming at it. "I never saw the Addams Family."
"We'll binge all of it." Emmett swore rubbing his hand into Harry's head gently. "Let's go find you and Jasper the perfect room!"
They all watched Harry's eyes get wide and light up with happiness and hope.
"Our room?"
"Yeah." Emmett said nodding. "You and Jasper are planning to share aren't you?"
Harry instantly looked at Jasper with pleading eyes.
"Of course, Darlin'." Jasper chuckled. "I'd love to share a room with you but we have to continue to go slow...I don't want to hurt you if I lose control."
Harry threw himself on Jasper.
"You are taking it slow?" Severus asked in a dangerous voice.
"We are only kissing and I hold Harry when he sleeps so the nightmares don't get him." Jasper informed.
Severus didn't seem convinced.
They'd found Hermione and saved her just in time though there had been police close by. It was very late at night.
"HARRY!" Hermione sobbed throwing herself on him. "Oh, thank you! Thank you!"
"Lord....er.....Black!" Abe walked over. "You forgot your badge at the office."
Harry blinked at him confused but Abe winked at him and gave him a badge.
"We'll take this vampire in and question him. He did attack one of us." Abe informed. "Thank you for alerting us."
"Of course." Harry nodded. "Thank you for responding so quickly." he was patting Hermione's back she was very distraught. Being attacked by a vampire shouldn't have her acting like this. "She's a friend of mine so I'll take care of her if that's okay."
"It would be preferred. We've got a huge call-out in Illinois. Were Lions were involved in a massive attack." Abe informed. "I'll talk to you later."
With that, the Aurors separated away.
"Come on, let's get you back to the house." Harry sighed still patting Hermione on the back.
"Ugh!" Hermione moaned as they crashed into the living room. "I don't remember you being that bad at Aparating, Harry." She got up and helped him up. "Are you okay? HELP! HELP! HARRY'S HURT! HELP!"
She was shocked when people came running. She explained the situation to Snape.
"What have I told you about Aparating until you are better?" Severus sighed as Jasper laid Harry on the couch and he took scans. "You're fine. Be more careful with him, Miss. Granger. He's still healing."
"Er....yes, of course." Hermione nodded fervently. "Uhm.....nice to meet you, I'm Hermione Granger." she was looking at the other people. The ones that she didn't know. "Nice to meet you."
"This is my Jasper Hale." Harry said as he snuggled into Jasper's arms.
Everyone else introduced themselves and Hermione couldn't believe it when she came face to face with a mopey, sullen, depressed Cedric Diggory lookalike. She instantly backed away from him and tried to drag Harry out of the room or protect him from seeing him.
Harry actually felt nice that she was trying to protect his mental state but explained that he was getting used to it and that he was okay because he was with Jasper and Jasper kept the nightmares away.
