A Normal Day In My Forest
A normal day in my forest.
Stood tall and strong;
Wood of white and bark of brown.
A normal day, it was.
Cool breeze flowing through my leaves,
Moist soil between my roots,
Birds singing in the air,
A normal day for me…
Suddenly, not so normal.
Pain everywhere.
Deep in ym core, to the tips of my twigs.
Now tasting something new,
Never had before.
My bark, grabbed and held tight.
Erupting from the vast hollow;
Pulling itself out.
Definitely not a normal day.
Some body popped out?
A boy.
Stepping into my world.
Stumbled around; got his bearings.
No more pain.
Back to normal.
Lost boy looking around;
Searching for something?
Enjoying my pond.
Water blue and green.
Frogs croaking; befriending tiny fish.
A normal, quiet day for me.
Until it wasn’t quiet anymore…
