By Their Side

Charlie took a deep breath, steeling himself for the confrontation ahead. He nodded at Harry, who quickly slipped under the invisibility cloak, becoming completely invisible. They walked together toward Viktor's office, the weight of the coming confrontation pressing down on them both. Charlie knocked on the door and entered without waiting for a response. Viktor looked up from his desk, his expression already darkening.

"Charlie," Viktor said with a sigh, "I trust this is important?"

"Actually, it is," Charlie replied, his tone even and calm. "I need to inform you that I will be leaving for the weekend to attend my siblings' graduation ceremony. It's non-negotiable." Viktor's face turned a shade redder.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Charlie? You have used all of your PTO for the year. You are not allowed to leave." Charlie couldn't help but chuckle.

"Viktor, you and I both know that no one here has used any PTO since you took over. How could I have used it all up when you never approve any leave requests?" Viktor's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"If you leave now, you will be fired. Do you understand?" Charlie's smile didn't waver.

"Do what you have to do, Mr. Petrov. But I'm going to my siblings' graduation. Family is important, and it's something you clearly don't understand." Viktor stood up, slamming his hands on the desk.

"You think this is a joke, Mr. Weasley? You think you can just walk out whenever you please? This is a job, not a hobby." Charlie's expression grew serious.

"And part of a job is treating your employees with respect. We've put up with a lot since you got here, but this is the last straw." Hidden under the cloak, Harry carefully took notes, capturing every word of the heated exchange. He could feel the tension in the room, the air practically crackling with it. Viktor sneered.

"If you leave now, don't bother coming back. You will be terminated immediately." Charlie shrugged, his lighthearted demeanor still in place.

"If that's the way it has to be, then so be it. But I'm leaving." With that, Charlie turned on his heel and walked out of the office, his head held high. Harry followed silently, heart pounding from the adrenaline rush. Once they were out of earshot, Harry pulled off the cloak.

"Charlie, that was... intense." Charlie sighed, the weight of the confrontation finally hitting him.

"Yeah, it was. But it had to be done. Let's just hope the evidence we gathered is enough to make a difference." Harry nodded, determination in his eyes.

"We'll make sure it is. We're not letting Viktor get away with this." Together, they made their way back to the others, ready to share what had transpired and plan their next steps. The fight was far from over, but with their united front and the evidence in hand, they had a real chance to bring about change.

"Ready?" Charlie asked, looking at Harry.

"Absolutely," Harry replied with a nod. They apparated to a familiar hill overlooking the Burrow. The cozy house, with its many mismatched additions and the surrounding garden, brought a sense of nostalgia and warmth. They made their way down the hill, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows over the lush greenery. When they reached the door, Charlie took a deep breath before knocking and then opening it. Inside, they were met with the familiar, comforting chaos of the Weasley home. The smell of freshly baked bread and the faint sound of a wireless radio playing somewhere in the background made Harry feel at home instantly. Molly Weasley was busy dusting the shelves, a task that sent clouds of dust into the air, making them cough as they entered. She spun around, ready to scold whoever had come in unannounced, but her stern expression melted into one of surprise and joy when she saw who it was.

"Charlie! Harry!" Molly exclaimed, her voice filled with delight. "What a wonderful surprise!" Charlie grinned and moved forward to hug his mother.

"Hey, Mum. It's good to be home." Harry followed, giving Molly a warm hug as well.

"Hi, Mrs. Weasley."

"Oh, it's so good to see you both," Molly said, stepping back to look at them with a mixture of happiness and concern. "What brings you here? Not that I'm complaining, of course." Charlie and Harry exchanged a glance.

"We have a bit of a situation at the Reserve," Charlie began, his tone serious. "But first, we wanted to be here for Ron and Ginny's graduation." Molly's eyes softened with understanding.

"Of course, dear. You know how much it will mean to them to have you here." She led them into the kitchen, where the smell of something delicious simmering on the stove made their stomachs rumble. "Sit down, sit down. I'll get you something to eat. You both look like you could use a good meal." As they sat at the table, Charlie explained the situation in more detail.

"We've been having a lot of trouble with our new boss, Viktor. He's been treating the staff horribly, cutting our pay, denying our leave requests... It's been a nightmare." Molly's expression turned to one of concern and anger.

"That sounds dreadful! What are you going to do about it?" Harry leaned forward, his voice determined.

"We're gathering evidence to file a complaint. They need someone outside the Reserve to testify that they're being mistreated. That's where I came in the picture, to figure out our next steps and to be with family." Molly nodded, her eyes filled with pride and worry.

"Well, you know we'll do everything we can to help. But for now, let's focus on being together. You both need a break from all that stress." Charlie and Harry shared a grateful look. Being here, in the warmth and safety of the Burrow, was exactly what they needed to recharge and face the challenges ahead. The day passed in a warm, comforting blur of family and laughter. As the afternoon turned to evening, the Burrow slowly filled with more Weasleys returning home. Bill arrived first, his long hair tied back and his arm around Fleur, who greeted everyone with her usual grace. Percy came next, still wearing his Ministry robes, looking slightly more relaxed than usual as he was followed by Audrey. George arrived last, with Angelina on his arm, his grin wide and infectious. The kitchen and living room became a hub of activity. Molly and Fleur took charge of the cooking, filling the house with mouth-watering aromas. Conversations flowed easily, the sound of laughter echoing through the rooms as they talked about nothing and everything. Stories from work, tales of Hogwarts days, and playful banter filled the air. Bill looked at Harry with a warm smile.

"It's good to see you, mate. How've you been holding up?" Harry returned the smile, feeling the weight of the past months lift slightly.

"It's been a bit rough, but it's good to be here with all of you." Percy, always keen on details, asked,

"Are you back in England for good, or just visiting?"

"Just visiting for now," Harry replied, glancing at Charlie. "We've got some things to sort out at the Reserve." George leaned in, his eyes twinkling mischievously.

"You mean with that new boss of yours? Heard he's quite the tyrant." Charlie sighed, nodding.

"You have no idea. But we're working on it." Angelina, ever the voice of reason, added,

"Well, you know you've got us if you need anything. We're family." As the sun set, Arthur Weasley came home from work, his face lighting up at the sight of his children and their partners.

"Well, this is a sight for sore eyes!" he exclaimed, shrugging off his coat and joining the group.

"Dad!" they all chorused, making room for him at the table. Arthur embraced each of them in turn, his eyes twinkling with joy.

"What's the occasion? Not that I'm complaining." Charlie spoke up, his tone both serious and hopeful.

"Ron and Ginny's graduation, remember? And to... recharge a bit." Arthur nodded, his expression understanding.

"You've been through a lot, son. It's good to see you taking some time for yourself." They all sat down for dinner, the table laden with a feast that only Molly could conjure. Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and an array of desserts that promised a sweet end to the meal. The conversation continued, flowing easily as they enjoyed the food and each other's company.

As the evening wore on, the Weasleys gradually drifted to their respective rooms. The house quieted down, leaving a comfortable silence that was only occasionally broken by the creaking of old wood and the distant hoot of an owl. Charlie and Harry headed upstairs to the room they would share for the night. As soon as the door closed behind them, the anticipation that had been building all day came to a head. Charlie turned to Harry, his eyes full of longing and love.

"I've missed you so much," Charlie said, his voice thick with emotion. Harry stepped closer, placing his hands on Charlie's chest.

"I've missed you too. It's been too long." They kissed deeply, a kiss that spoke of all the months apart, all the pent-up desire and love that had been kept at bay. Their hands roamed over each other's bodies, rediscovering familiar paths and finding new ones. Clothes were shed quickly, falling to the floor in a heap as they made their way to the bed. That night, they made love with a fervor and intensity that only comes from long separation. Each touch, each kiss, was a reminder of what they had been missing. Their first session was urgent and passionate, a physical declaration of their love and need for each other. Afterward, they lay tangled together, catching their breath and savoring the closeness. But it wasn't long before the desire ignited again. This time, they took it slower, exploring each other with a tenderness that spoke of deep connection and understanding. Their second session was a dance of intimacy, a reaffirmation of their bond. As they lay together once more, Harry looked into Charlie's eyes, seeing the depth of love and commitment reflected back at him.

"I don't ever want to be apart from you for that long again," he whispered. Charlie kissed Harry softly.

"We won't be. We'll find a way to make this work, no matter what." Their third session was a blend of passion and love, a perfect culmination of their reunion. By the time they finally drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, they both felt a sense of completeness and peace they hadn't known in months.

The next morning, the Burrow buzzed with excitement and activity. Everyone was busy preparing for the graduation ceremony. The house was filled with the sounds of laughter, the clattering of dishes, and the occasional exclamation of frustration as people got ready. Harry stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his new dress robes. They were a deep emerald green that brought out the colour of his eyes, tailored perfectly to fit his frame. He ran a hand through his hair, attempting to tame the wild mess, but eventually gave up, letting it fall naturally. When Charlie entered the room, his jaw dropped.

"Merlin, Harry," he said, his voice a mix of awe and desire. "You look incredible." Harry turned to face Charlie, a playful glint in his eyes.

"Do you like what you see?" he asked seductively, giving Charlie a once-over. Charlie didn't need to be asked twice. He closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around Harry's waist and pulling him into a deep kiss.

"I more than like it," Charlie murmured against Harry's lips. "You look stunning." Harry pulled back slightly, his eyes scanning Charlie's attire.

"You don't look so bad yourself," he remarked, his voice low and appreciative. Charlie was dressed in elegant dress robes that highlighted his rugged handsomeness, making him look every bit the dashing dragon tamer. Downstairs, Percy’s voice echoed through the house, frustration evident in his tone.

"Where’s my tie? I can’t find my tie anywhere!" His girlfriend, Audrey, appeared holding a neatly folded tie.

"Here it is, Percy," she said with a smile, handing it over. Percy sighed in relief, taking the tie from her.

"Thanks, love. I don't know what I'd do without you." The rest of the family was equally busy. Molly was fussing over Ginny and Ron, making sure their robes were perfect, while Arthur adjusted his own tie in the mirror. Bill and Fleur were helping George with his cufflinks, and everyone seemed to be in a state of happy chaos. As the family gathered in the living room, ready to depart for the ceremony, there was an air of excitement and pride. They were all dressed in their finest, ready to celebrate the achievements of their loved ones. Charlie and Harry shared a private smile, a silent promise that no matter what challenges they faced, they would face them together. Today was a day of celebration, of family, and of love. And for Harry, it was a reminder of how lucky he was to have found a place in this warm, wonderful family.

"Ready to go?" Arthur asked, looking around at his assembled family.

"Ready," they all chorused, and with that, they headed out the door, ready to make their way to Hogwarts for the graduation ceremony.
