Dear diary, today I performed the familiar ritual with Celty. It was strange but also warm.

Dad traced a circle of runes in the yard, I stood in the center with Celty on my arm, dad began to chant something in Latin I think, and I made a small cut on my finger with a ritual dagger. With the blood from my finger, I traced a rune on Celty's forehead and promised magic that I would always care for, protect, and guide her. I didn't realize it, but apparently, I said it in Parseltongue. Celty also promised the same and licked my finger, a light enveloped us, and Celty is now green, but when she moves her scales look pink and purple, she is beautiful.

No one knew why she had changed color but I think it suits her well, and she is happy, so I am too.

After the ritual, dad told me that I would start learning more about being a Metamorphmagus, I couldn't help but feel excited. Dad always told me that I had to learn to control my emotions to be able to use that gift well and that's why he taught me Occlumency from such a young age, so if I can transform now it means that I am good enough in Occlumency for dad, I feel very flattered.

I also understand and am glad that I learned to control myself because every time I see Xavier change emotions or just think of something different, the color of his hair changes and his intentions are very easy to read, I don't want to be so obvious.

Well, now I have more things to learn, I am excited!

Bye.
