Dear diary, today Julius turns 6. We had a snake-themed party with only one phoenix (Julius said it looked just like Squirrel, his plush phoenix). All our friends and their parents were there, even Bonny and Susan came. Also, adults we don't see very often, like Mir's godfather, Barty Jr., and an older man who said he was Mir's grandfather, named Corvus Lestrange, and I say "was" because halfway through the party, he was blowing bubbles with his wand for all the kids when he suddenly seemed to fall asleep. Celty said he smelled like death, so I got scared and called Dad. He checked his wrists and neck and said he had passed away.

Everything happened very quickly after that. The party stopped, and everyone present went to Lestrange manor and held a small funeral. They buried him in the cemetery on the outskirts of their estate.

It was all very sad. Ro and Ra cried a little, and Mir cried so much that she fell asleep.

When we got back home, Julius didn't want to open his gifts and started crying when we found one among all the packages that was from Corvus. According to Julius, when he was still Tom, he went to school with Corvus and now he regretted treating him badly when the war started, as he considered him a good friend.

Today Julius fell asleep in my bed with the silver snake necklace that Corvus gave him and a crumpled letter where he said he knew he was Tom and wished him a better life, among other things, signing as "your knight of Walpurgis."

I'm sad for my brother.

Goodbye.
