Dear diary, today I celebrated my birthday with Draco and his friends. I guess they are my friends now too, although I still prefer spending time alone with Draco.
By the way, I am a proud older brother, little Julius learns very quickly, he seems to master everything related to magical theory almost immediately. He says it's because once he reads the topic he can already remember having done it before, but I still think it's amazing.
But nobody's perfect, Julius still can't cast spells wandlessly in Miyako sensei's classes and he is quite clumsy when moving around, so he doesn't do well in Ryu's classes either, but his worst class is dance. The other day he threw a tantrum because he didn't want to go to classes with Cissy, for moments like this is when you remember he's only 5 years old, because all the time he's a quiet kid and always talks with big words, even when defending the fact that his phoenix stuffed animal is called "squirrel"...
Anyway, I'm proud of my little brother and Dad seems calmer too. Lucy still seems to be on the defensive with Julius but over time all the adults seem more willing to let their guard down with my little brother.
My friends don't seem to care much, although Draco was a bit annoyed with him for spending more time with me. Julius told him he wasn't interested in incest, whatever that is, and that he didn't have to worry. Dad said he would explain to me what incest is when I'm older, I'm curious but I'm not going to keep asking because Dad looked very serious about it.
Speaking of siblings, Xavier sent me my pink dragon as a birthday present and a letter saying he felt sorry for not being able to treat me like a brother during his party because James asked him to, he also wrote that I would always be his brother and his dragon. I don't know how to feel about that...
Anna also wrote... a long letter complaining about James and some drawings of her family. James was dressed in red and had a frown, with a golden crown on his head, mom wore a green dress like her eyes, Xavier also wore red but had a silver crown, his hand was on the head of a pink dragon with green eyes, I guess that would be me, and on the dragon was her wearing black pants and a blue shirt, in the drawing she had her red hair cut very short unlike how she actually has it, and she was holding a sword.
I decided that when we're both at Hogwarts I would teach her how to use a sword. I didn't spend much time with her, but she's also my younger sister and I want to be a good older brother.
I also received a letter and a gift from Luna. The letter talked about some nargles following her whenever Ginevra visited her and about her mom's latest experiment, I'm a bit worried because when I told Dad about the experiment he said it could be very dangerous, I asked him to talk to Luna's mom about it and tomorrow we're going to visit them. Her gift was a rope necklace with small stones hanging on strings, in the center it had what looked like a ring but it's actually a cereal, I don't know why but I liked it and I put it on immediately.
Draco got angry for some reason and gave me a snake-shaped bracelet and told me not to take it off ever. Vins and Greg gave me sweets, Pansy some pink socks (I liked them and she got mad), Theo a book, Blaise an Italian dictionary, Julius a drawing of the two of us and Dad, Mir and Percy also gave me a book each, Forge and Gred a potion that turned you rainbow-colored (they told me I could use it on Pansy or anyone I didn't like), from the adults, Cissy and Lucy gave me formal green bottle tunics, Bella, Ro and Ra gave me a backpack with undetectable expansion and featherweight, it's made of dragon leather in black color (inside it's pink), Bonny and Bolty gave me law and politics books, Siri and Remus a new broom and a lot of chocolate (Dad confiscated it) and the best gift of all was Dad's! He gave me a magical coral snake, the best part is that I can still understand her.
Julius got jealous and said he wanted one too, Dad promised him he would buy him one when he turned 8 as well. I quickly promised him that we could take care of Celty (my new coral) together, to avoid a tantrum, luckily he accepted.
Celty is a baby snake so Dad said I need to wait a bit to do the familiar ritual with her, so now I want to read all the books about familiars.
Despite being happy to have a new friend, what made me happiest is that Dad accepted my Parseltongue gift without saying anything as if it were the most normal thing in the world. I couldn't help but think of the time James found out and compare both reactions. My Dad is the best.
See you.
