Dear diary, today I spent my birthday with Mum and Cissy, it was awful because today is also Xavier's birthday and all his friends came over, and I was ordered to pretend not to belong to the family, which is easier now that I have pale skin and straight hair down to my waist. I would have loved to spend my birthday with Dad, Mum, little Julius, and my friends. At least tomorrow I can spend it with them.
It annoys me a lot how all of Xavier's friends seem to idolize him, it just makes him more arrogant. I also dislike how James treats Anna. It's clear that she is an active girl and it was obvious that she didn't like what she was wearing. Since she was little, she always showed a dislike for very feminine clothes and whenever she could, she dressed in trousers and shirts in green or blue, colors that I think suit her very well. But James always tells her that she has to dress and behave like a lady, seen but not heard, dressed in pink dresses with frills, extremely feminine. It's not that they look bad on her, but it's clear that she feels uncomfortable. At least she always shows her discontent, and I have never seen James punish her like he did with me.
Ronald Weasley is the worst of my brother's admirers. It's obvious that he is jealous, but to fit in with the fame, he is always by Xavier's side agreeing with him. Ginevra Weasley is another Pansy from a few years ago, always glued to Xavier and doesn't seem to have anything interesting to say.
Susan Bones has a strong character, and although she seems impressed by my brother, at least she still has her own mind. I have spent some time with her when Bonny visits home.
Neville Longbottom is very shy; he follows the group like a little duck and never gives his opinion, so I haven't yet discovered his true personality.
Hannah Abbott is calm and friendly; she seems to get along better with Susan. She was the first to talk to me.
The Patil twins, Padma and Parvati, are very different from each other but seem to want to spend time just between themselves, although they still murmur about Xavier and giggle. They are a bit strange; I don't think they are magical twins.
Luna Lovegood is great; apparently, her mum is the author of the book about fantastic and forgotten beasts, and she is the only one I have been able to talk to about them without being looked at badly. She is also interested in magical creatures in general. When I asked her if we could be friends, she smiled and started jumping up and down. I like her, and I like that she is the first friend I have made on my own.
The rest of the Weasleys are okay; of course, the best ones are Forge and Gred, but after talking to Percy, I think I have quite a bit in common with him.
James announced that Xavier would start training for his duty with the magical world with "the great" Albus Dumbledore. I hope my brother learns quickly, or he will be too far behind most of the purebloods.
Well, a bad day, goodbye.
