Lily's Sorting
James stood in the Great Hall, his heart pounding with anticipation as he awaited his sister Lily's Sorting ceremony. He had been looking forward to this moment, eager to see which house she would join. However, as the Sorting Hat placed on Lily's head and the minutes ticked by, James couldn't shake off a sense of apprehension.
When the Sorting Hat finally shouted "GRYFFINDOR!" and the Gryffindor table erupted in cheers, James felt a mixture of pride for Lily and a subtle twinge of disappointment that he was the only child in the family sorted into Slytherin.
As the feast commenced and Lily joined her new housemates at the Gryffindor table, James smiled and applauded along with the rest of the students. He knew that Lily belonged in Gryffindor, with her brave and adventurous spirit shining through.
Later that night, as James returned to the Slytherin common room, he couldn't shake off the lingering feeling of being the odd one out in his family's house assignments. He wondered if his parents, Harry and Ron, had felt the same way when he was sorted into Slytherin.
