Diary replying
It's finally here. Tonight is the ninth day of Yule, It's father's night. Tonight I finally get to see my dad.
We have all the horcruxes, now in the diary, the philosophers stone, his dad's bone, his wedding ring, and the ritual room and prepared. This is going to be a family only thing so it's only me, mama, and dad.
Once the sun set we all went down to the ritual room.
"Harrison, do we have everything?" Mama asked.
"Yes." I nodded. "Dad, are you ready to get your body back?"
"I've never been more ready for anything." Dad replied.
"Good, and I talked to Death, he made some altercations to the spell to make sure you have your real body back." I added, handing mama a parchment with the incantation on it.
"Thank you Harrison." He said, taking the parchment and reading it over. "Everyone get ready. The sun is setting."
All three of us stood in front of the caldron, the table with the ingredients and told said next to mama.
He started the flame below the cauldron and started throwing in some herbs and mixing the water.
"The bone of a parent, from which you came." He threw in the bone.
"An object of a joyous day." He threw three wedding ring in.
He put his hand out and I put my hand in his. He used the ritual blade to prick my finger and get a drop off my blood. "Blood of an offspring, waiting for your return." He dropped my blood in.
"A relic with the power to revive, return your life and body" he the the philosophers stone in.
He grabbed the horcruxe filled diary and through it in the caldron. "Soul and body, in this elixir, when added to the missing part, shall once again become who." He mixed the potion until it turned orange, then he distinguished the flame and continued mixing until it turned purple.
A black orb emerged and mama cupped it in his hands. Dad leaned down and drank it from his hands.
Once he was done we waited for something to happen.
"What exactly are we waiting for?" Dad asked. Mama looked over the parchment I gave him but it didn't say anything.
"Death said the effects should be almost instant." I said, also confused.
Dad's face contorted in pain and a black glow came from his eyes and mouth.
"I'll go get his robes." I said, not wanting to see anything that was about to happen.
I leave the room, grabbing the rodes that we're preselected and I wait outside until given the clear to enter.
"You got the parchment, Harrison?" A voice asked. I looked up and saw Death.
"Death? You didn't stop time this time?" I mentioned, curious, handing him the parchment.
He looked it over and smiled. "Time was busy. Also, none of you guys will remember the spell so make sure you don't need it again. It took 5 years to even convince Reality to let you guys see this." Death said, sounding and looking like he was joking. He disappeared before I could even blink.
And he was right. I only remember the one I saw in 4th year. I wonder what that was about. Why would the gods not want people to know how to undo the effects of horcruxes?
"Harrison." I saw Mama in the doorway, I handed him the robes. He smiled and went back in.
A few minutes later Mama gave me the ok to enter. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
I froze when I saw my dad. He looked like and older and taller version of book Tom Riddle. Makes sense since he is an older version of Tom Riddle.
Seems like I was frozen for a bit when he walked up to me and kneeled in front of me.
"Hello Harrison." He said, smiling. I looked at him wide eyed.
"Dad?" I asked, barely above a mutter, staring at him in shock.
He smiled wider. "Yes son, it's dad." I felt my body moving. I jumped into his chest, holding onto him tightly, barrying my head in his chest.
I felt 3 arms wrap around me, and I stayed in his arms.
I don't know how long we stayed like that, just that I didn't want to move or loose this feeling that felt like something I had been missing for decades.
Dad eventually just picked me up and we all went to the main living room.
"Uh, what happened with Quirell's body?" I asked.
"Didn't survive the separation." Dad answered plainly. I just blinked a few times then shrugged.
"Already planning to make it look like a suicide in his home." Mama said, drinking some freshly made tea.
I look up at dad. "I look a lot like you." I stated, causing both of them to laugh.
"You do have my amazing hair and the Gaunt family facial features." Dad said proudly.
"Mama looks better." I stated, causing mama to laugh and dad to close his eyes, him and nod in agreement.
"You are right. The Prince's are known for their soft facial features just as much as their potion skills. With the amount of I'm imbreeding between the Prince's and Slytherin's it's actually a surprise more features aren't shared." Dad said, earning him a stinging hex from mama.
"Ow! I'm not wrong!" He exclaimed. "Never said you were." Mama replied smiling, dad made a face back.
I looked between them in confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"Oh, Since Salazar Slytherin's time marriages between the Slytherin house and Prince house weren't uncomfortable." Dad explained before dropping the subject.
"Will you be at the Yule ball in 3 days?" I asked. Dad looked sad.
"Sorry Harrison, but I need to get a new identity first before I can show myself in public." He answered, sounding down. I tried to hide my disappointment but he pulled me into his lap.
"I'll be there for the rituals and I already have your Yule gifts under the tree." He said, in an attempt to comfort me.
I smiled sadly up at him. "Ok." I said.
I then remember my interaction with Death earlier, but realize now isn't the right time so I just enjoy finally being able to hug and see my dad.

In Magic's wing in the divine palace in-between dimensions
"HUNTER!" Magic yelled out, waiting for her nephew.
A few seconds later Death appeared behind her. "I'm here Aunty Yaklina." He said, removing his hood and handing his aunt the parchment.
"Thank you." She smiled, took the parchment, and returned it to her grimore.
Death looked around and was quieter than usual, catching Magic's attention.
"What's on your mind?" She asked,. brushing out her waves.
"I know I haven't been a god for as long as any of the other gods, but I was wondering why it took so long to convince aunt Corella to allow them to have the spell." Hunter admitted, taking his own braid out.
Magic have a soft smile, guided Death to sit, at started brushing his hair.
"Do you understand why we have a goddess of truth and light and a goddess of lies and dark when we already have a goddess of balance?" She asked.
He nodded. "I think. It's both halves right? Those who lean dark and those who lean light." He said.
"Yes. Do you know why they are twins and Balance is their cousin?" She asked.
He looked confused. "Want that a coincidence with the cousin part?" He asked.
"Nope. It's because they need to be equal to maintain balance. Even the amount of people can cause harm..that's why this issue was such a problem due to the decline of dark and less respect and worship of the olde ways. They are needed to maintain balance and magic." She explained.
"What does that have to do with giving them the spell?" He asked.
"Think of the people we each watch over as one portion of a braid. A braid for what you want must be a certain size, all portions even. If one of bigger or smaller than the rest of ribs the braid, but if there is too much it to little hair in the whole because it looks weird and doesn't go right. Something as simple as a spell to undo horcruxes would make one section much bigger and the other two will either stay the same or shrink, running the braid. Do you understand?" She explained.
"Yeah. Everything needs to stay equal... Even if it has sad results." He said a bit disappointed.
"Don't be sad. It's good you want them to be happy. What do you think would happen if the god of death was cruel?" She asked.
He laughed. "It wouldn't be pretty." He answered.
"Exactly."
