part 2
Draco left his room a couple minutes after his mom, who left to go greet the guests.
He straightened out his white dress shirt and tucked his hair behind his ear.
Draco really didn’t want to deal with his “friends” right now, but he also didn’t want to see what would happen if he was late.
Taking soft steps, he went down the stairs to see the Zabinis, Notts, Parkinsons, Crabbes, and the Goyles chuckling in the sitting room.
Everyone turned their head around to stare at Draco, when his dad started speaking.
“Ah. there he is. Draco, take all your friends out to the garden to play. Us adults have… matters to discuss”, Lucius said with an everlasting sneer on his face.
Draco rolled his eyes internally but remained his composure.
With a respectful nod, he turned around gracefully and headed to the garden, expecting every kid to follow him.
When in the garden, a hand harshly grabbed Draco and turned him around.
“How is it that you look more like a girl everyday?” Theodore said, pinning Draco against the brick wall of the manor.
Blaise turned up next to Theo, and held Draco’s face with two fingers.
“Do you have lipstick on milady?” Blaise said, a smirk growing on his face.
Using his thumb, he harshly swiped Draco’s bottom lip.
Upon seeing no residue, both the boys looked surprised while Draco was relieved.
He would’ve never heard the end of this if he hadn’t cleaned off his makeup properly.
“Let go of me, you stupid gits!” Draco yelled, thrashing around but not causing their grip on him to falter.
Theo and Blaise looked at the smaller boy, amused.
“Vince! Greg!” Draco whined. The two burly boys appeared, clearly also amused by the altercation.
Greg pulled Draco away from them, hand conveniently on his waist. After two seconds of awkward eye contact with Goyle, Draco turned around.
“You guys are fucking arseholes!” Draco yelled at Theo and Blaise.
“Now, now, that isn’t very ladylike of you drakey”,Theo said while the rest of the lot chuckled like a bunch of brainless jocks.
Rolling his eyes, the blonde boy muttered some VERY bad words and shoved his way away from the so-called “arseholes”.
Pansy, who was quiet but also visibly entertained throughout the entire ordeal, showed up and linked arms with Draco.
“So,” she whispered into the blonde boy's hair, “when are you going to do my makeup again?”
Draco flinched slightly and looked around before shushing Pansy.
The boys, clearly curious, inched their way closer to the duo.
“Aww c’mon babe! You know that you’re the best at it! I’ve tried doing it but I can't even come close!”, Pansy shrieked.
Draco, aware of the attention he was getting, started to stress out.
“I-I’ll talk to you about it later, Pans, you know how my parents feel about it.”
At that point, it was very clear the boys could hear.
“Feel… about what?”, Vincent said, towering over Draco.
“So uh..”, the blonde boy stuttered, trying his best to make an excuse.
“Master Draco!” a voice suddenly said. “D-dobby!” Draco yelled, running over to where the house elf was standing and grabbed his hands.
The relief was extremely evident on this face.
“Young Master Draco. Your father is expecting you and your friends to make your way to the sitting room. He has something to let you know of.” Dobby said, bowing his head.
Holding Dobby’s hand, Draco made his way to the room where his parents along with their guests were seated.
Upon seeing his father look disapprovingly, Draco let go of Dobby’s hand rather quickly.
Dobby bowed and apparated away, leaving Draco’s side empty.
Immediately after, Theo and Blaise appeared behind him, uncomfortably close.
Feeling irritated but unable to say anything, Draco took a few steps forward and addressed his father and guests with respect.
“Father. You called for us?”, Draco said with a slight bow of his head.
“Yes. All of you children please take a seat.”, Lucius said with the same goddamn sneer.
All the kids took seats next to their respective parents, listening attentively to what Lucius was about to say.
“Children, I'm sure you are all looking forward to your education at Hogwarts next year. You must remember though, that wherever you are there are expectations to be held and families to be represented well. Which is why, your parents and I have decided to assign you all a task. Harry Potter will be attending Hogwarts next year as well.”
A few gasps and looks of astonishment could be spotted throughout the room.
“Your job is to keep tabs on whatever the boy gets up to during the year. And by any means necessary. For example, Draco could even seduce the boy with his unmanly looks.”, Lucius said, earning laughter from everyone except Narcissa.
“However,” Lucius said, becoming more serious. “I think I can speak for you parents as well when expressing my displeasure in you children associating with someone… unworthy. We trust your judgment, do not disappoint us.”
