"oh shit, you're drunk"

Time from Wednesday to Saturday went by fast and before Evan could believe it it was Saturday lunch. Later they would be going to the Halloween party.
At lunch everyone seemed super excited to go to the party. James and Sirius were practically bouncing out of their seats. They didn’t have classes today since it was Saturday and Halloween so everyone would be getting ready after lunch. The gang started walking back to the boys dorm, Evan pulled Barty back from the group a bit but they kept walking.
“I just wanted to make sure that you were ok, you seemed pretty shaken the other night. Do you want to talk about it?” Barty sighed slightly but nodded
“I said it was about my dad. What happened was it was something from the summer about a 2 days before school started. I had to ask my dad a question and walked into his office, without knocking, and he had a person from work over. Anyway after the person left he started yelling at me cause I’m not supposed to go in his office, for whatever reason. He punched me four times. Three in the face, one in the gut.” Barty had tears in his eyes but Evan could tell he was trying to hold them back.
“Is that why you had a glamor on your eye but took it off when you got on the train?”
Evan asked though he knew the answer. Barty nodded. Evan hugged him tightly, he couldn’t bare Barty getting hurt, especially by his own dad. Evan was one of the few people that knew about Barty’s relationship with his father; it wasn’t the best. They let go of each other just in time to realize that their friends were about thirty feet in front of them, so Evan grabbed Barty’s hand as they had to run to catch up to the group.
When they got to the dorm they put on their onesies.
After getting changed they all stayed and hung out for a bit before heading to the party. They walked through the halls with enthusiasm, Barty had his arm around Evan’s shoulders. Dorcas’s girlfriend, Marlene, had come by to pick them up for the party, so they were walking, holding hands and chatting with Dora. Regulus looked slightly nervous, Evan assumed it was because James would be at the party.
When they got to the Portrait Hole, Marlene said the password and let them in. They all walked over to the Marauders. Sirius was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and Remus was the wolf. James was wearing a shark onesie seemingly fitting for him and Reg, Evan thought. Regulus hugged his brother then James, then Remus,
“Hey Reggie!” James said cheerfully.
Evan was over at the snack table, getting drinks for him, Dora, Dorcas and Marlene. He looked over to see Sirius kissing Remus on a couch then, more surprisingly, James Potter being dipped by Reg and kissing him. Barty walked up to Evan, swinging an arm over his shoulder.
“Hello beautiful.”
“Hello darling.” They walked over to Dorcas and the girls to give them their drinks. Evan and Barty sat down, “you know Evan,” said boy looked up “you’re amazing.” Evan blushed fiercely
“Thanks.” Evan could tell when Barty was tipsy, he was definitely drunk now. “Hey Barty, let’s go back to the dorms, you’re drunk and I don’t want you to do anything stupid.” Evan said lifting Barty up off the couch.
“You’re kinda stupid, I could do you .” Evan was bright red now. Barty was definitely drunk and he needed to get him back quick. He said goodbye to his friends and made a quick stop to threaten James not to do anything to his friend and that if he did Evan would break all the bones in his body. They left the Gryffindor common room and headed to the dungons.
When they got back Evan had Barty change into pajamas in the bathroom, while Evan changed in the outside so that he didn’t disturb Barty. Barty walked out of the bathroom wearing pajama pants without a t shirt (pay back from earlier). Holy Shit! Evan thought, staring at Barty He looks really pretty. And yes Evan did have a crush on Barty, he’s liked him since they were 14.
Evan got into his bed and Barty got into his.
“Ev?” Barty called out.
“Yes, darling?”
“Can you come lay with me.” Evan didn’t think it was the best idea but he could never say no to Barty especially now, when he was drunk. So Evan got out of bed and crossed the room to Barty. He climbed into his bed and immediately pulled Barty close with Barty laying his head in Evan’s chest. Barty’s breathing steadied and Evan assumed he was asleep. He gently placed a kiss on his forehead. Evan slowly fell asleep, playing with Barty’s hair.
