Evan woke up to a scream, Barty. He realized Barty was now sitting up, no longer one his chest (sadly), and seemed to be hyperventilating. Evan steadied Barty’s shoulders and helped him slow his breathing again.
“Dad.” Barty didn’t have to explain what happened, Evan knew immediately. The blonde pulled the other close, whispering softly into his ear.
“Don’t worry. I’ve got you.” Barty was crying quietly. It pained Evan to see Barty like this, so delicate and sad. Once Barty stopped crying and seemed ok Evan suggested they go down to breakfast after looking at the time. “You need a hangover cure.”
Evan helped Barty clean his face and make sure his eyes weren’t too red. They walked downstairs silently. When they entered the Great Hall Evan saw all of his friends besides Regulus at the Slytherin table, he panicked before looking over to see him sitting with his brother and James. He and Barty sat down beside Dorcas, the were sitting closer that normal but no one payed any mind. They ate their food, not really talking as there wasn’t much to talk about and they were all to tired anyway. Evan noticed that Barty was staring at his plate and was spaced out, he bumped him slightly just so he could look him in the eyes and make sure he was fine.
“Are you ok?” He whispered, the brunette nodding in response.
”Hangover.” Once they finished eating they headed back to the dorms to get ready for the day. Evan decided he needed a shower.
After he got out of the shower he and Barty walked down to the common rooms to meet Dorcas and Pandora, then headed to the black lake to meet up with Regulus and (shockingly) the Marauders. Evan saw the four Marauders and Regulus sitting on a picnic blanket, James lying on Regulus’s lap, Remus laying in Sirius’s as he red the raven haired boy a book, and Peter was working on homework and looking very confused. They sat down next to the others, Barty started chatting to Regulus, and Evan talked to James. Dorcas talked to Remus and Sirius and Pandora helped Peter with his homework.
