Summary
Regulus is overseas in Europe fighting World War 2, and James is in America training new soldiers. They keep in touch through letters, sent from the heart of enemy lines, through tragedy, heartbreak and eventually a happy ending for them all.

Dearest James,
Great news! Remus has found his way back to us! But the state he is in disturbs me greatly. He is pale and gaunt, and he refuses to speak of what has happened to him. We all rejoice greatly, but the mood is still somber. No German soldiers have found us, so whatever happened to Remus, he resisted it. Please tell Sirius not to worry, and we are sure Remus will recover in time. We have started the march to Poland, to assist the Jewish people in Warsaw. It will be long and dangerous, but it will be worth it. Stay safe.
