Summary
Regulus is overseas in Europe fighting World War 2, and James is in America training new soldiers. They keep in touch through letters, sent from the heart of enemy lines, through tragedy, heartbreak and eventually a happy ending for them all.

Dear Regulus,
If Remus shows up, tell him we send our love, and to write to Sirius immediately. He hasn't eaten since we received your letter. President Roosevelt does his best to reassure the nation, but morale is low. Tell Lily that Mary sends her love and she misses Lily greatly. We all still grieve for Barty and I hope Evan is coping with his loss well. I love you so much, and please make it back safe. I know you said you wouldn't want me to grieve for you if you die, but I know I will.
