Summary
Regulus is overseas in Europe fighting World War 2, and James is in America training new soldiers. They keep in touch through letters, sent from the heart of enemy lines, through tragedy, heartbreak and eventually a happy ending for them all.

Dear Regulus,
Sirius has fallen into an extreme depression and hardly eats or comes out of his room. It is truly awful, this war. We all grieve for Remus but carry hope that he will return. Dorcas has been sent with the troop I've been training and a few other soldiers to fight in the war. Marlene was hesitant after what happened with Remus, but Dorcas insisted. Since women aren't allowed in combat zones, she is pretending to be a man, so she'd be able to fight.
