Chapter 1
Laurie's alarm clock beeped, 8:03 am, signaling her to wake up and get ready for school, Laurie grudgingly open her eyes and then went to the bathroom to wash her face. Laurie then went to eat breakfast, and shortly after, she then showered. Getting ready for school was an everyday thing for her, I mean for everyone right? She then crossed out the date from yesterday, only to find out.. Today was valentines day. Her worst nightmare has arrived. By just looking at couples? it made her feel lonely, but she doesn't care! she has kai and Rochelle with her.. right? Laurie then arrived to school, then seeing many couples, as expected. She then tried to find Rochelle in the crowd, as she successfully found her, she then talked to Rochelle. "Hey rochelle ! , How are y-" Laurie said, as Rochelle cutted her off. "GIRL?? SOMEONE ASKED ME TO BE THEIR VALENTINE !!" Rochelle excitedly said, cutting off Laurie. "oh well, that's nice..! .. wait .. your not gonna hang out with them this whole day.. right?" Laurie then nervously asked Rochelle, asking for some confirmation. "Ooh.. sorry laurie.. I'm actually gonna go with them.. I can stay if you want?" Rochelle then awkwardly said. "No no, it's fine. You can go with them! I mean.. who am I to force you to hang out with me right? heh..." Laurie then replied. Oh no, who is she gonna hang out with now? Rochelle is her only friend, and she's for sure that Kai would be busy.. **RING!!** The bell rang, signaling the time for class. As she opened her locker, and took out her books, she then went to her class. Sitting near the window. "I know it's valentines day and all but, we are gonna have a quiz. Get a one whole of paper." Their teacher said. As the whole class went "awh.. 😣" As Laurie was grabbing the one whole in her bag.. – (LAURIES POV : "wait . . where is it? I can't find it .. oh no, I don't know someone to borrow fro–") "hey laurie.." Kai then whispered to Laurie, calling her. "huh? oh, hey Kai.. ! what.. what do you need?" Laurie nervously replied. "Do you need a one whole? I have extra." Kai said, offering her some paper. "Oh! yes. Kai you're a life saver thank you so much..–" Laurie said, relieved to find some paper. "Nah, it's fine! just.. helping out a teammate." Kai said, slightly blushing. As she gave Laurie some paper. Time passes, and it was time to pass the papers. Laurie didnt really get to study, so she wasnt really expecting a high grade. But, she's not expecting a low grade either. **TIME SKIP!** It was lunch time, and Laurie is all alone by herself on the lunch table, just eating her lunch quietly. Until, someone sat down beside her. It was Kai! "Hey Laurie. Why are you sitting by yourself? should Rochelle be with you?" Kai, confused about Rochelle's appearance. "uh.. she's.. uhm... uhhh..." Laurie then stuttered, wondering if she should tell Kai about Rochelle getting asked out in valentines.. "She has a valentine right?" Kai then replied. "Yes! h..how.. how do you know?" Laurie then replied to Kai, how did she know? did she stalk them? did she eavesdrop on them? "Oh, it's just a guess.. I heared someone say that they are gonna ask Rochelle out on valentines." Kai then quickly replied, Laurie was a bit relieved that Kai wasn't doing any of the things she has thought. "What about you? Do YOU have a valentines?" Kai asked Laurie, just asking about her status on valentines. "well-.. I dont." Laurie then awkwardly said, she didn't like the fact that she's lonely at valentines, but she knows why. "Well, do you want me to be your valentines?" Kai then quickly replied, looking away from Laurie, she was very flustered. "w..what??" Laurie then almost chocked on her food in shock, as she was looking at Kai like she had just said that she was gonna move out. "You heared me.." Kai then replied, still not looking at Laurie "Well..- if you want..?" Laurie replied. (LAURIES POV – ""Ofcourse Kai wanted it! that's why she asked me! dumb Laurie, Think Laurie, Think!"") "Soo.. you wanna get icecream later..? like.. after school and stuff.." Kai then said to Laurie. "... Yeah ... Sure. I'll see you at the gate..?" Laurie replied. "Sure. I'll uhh.. see you there." Kai then said. She felt like her heart was gonna explode from talking to Laurie, oh god.
