Timeskip, Kai was waiting for Laurie's classes to end, as she was waiting at Laurie by the gate. Suddenly, Yuwen spotted Kai at the gate and decided to greet her.
"Hey Kai! , who are you waiting for??" Yuwen asked, Confused.
"Laurie. I got up the courage to ask her out." Kai said, flustered.
"Oh, well that's nice. I'm going with Taylor sooo." Yuwen then bragged .
"Uh huh, just make sure not to break up again kay??" Kai then said, just joking.
"Obviously! , I won't do that same mistake again! From this day on, I will follow everything's she says!" Yuwen said, being completely head over heels for Taylor.
"Ok, looks like Laurie is here now, gotta go. Bye!" Kai then quickly replied, as She went to Laurie.
"Oh, hi Kai ! .. Sorry if I took too long.." Laurie then said
"It's fine! lets go to that ice cream shop now okay?" Kai said, excited.
"Wait! I probably can't go.." Laurie said , her tone being sincere.
"Huh?.. why??" Kai then got really sad, as she really wanted to go with Laurie.
"I don't have money. It would be rude for me to ask you to treat me too." Laurie said.
"That's it?" Kai replied.
"What do you mean?" Laurie replied, being confused.
"Its on the house! don't worry, it's not rude. Since I offered it." Kai then said, as Laurie's eyes sparkled.
"W-well okay then! if you insist." Laurie said happily.
The two girls then started walking to the ice cream shop, as they then reached their destination.
"hello, welcome to caprisun ice cream shop, what would you like.." The cashier then greeted.
"Hello! I would like some strawberry ice cream please! and for you Laurie?" Kai then asked Laurie
"I'd like a vanilla..! please." Laurie then replied, being nervous around people.
"that would be 2.99 please."
*ka-ching!*
"Here are your ice creams."
The cashier then handed the ice creams, as the girls then found a place to sit on.
As time goes by, their love kept getting stronger, and stronger. They didn't tell anyone yet, other than Rochelle, and Yuwen. Since Laurie's dad is a Christian, she didn't really dare to tell him about her relationship with the same gender. 2 years went by, and all of them are now high schoolers. And Laurie is just getting ready to leave, she was really excited, really. Because her dad just messaged her that he will pick her up. So , she waited outside for him, until a car pulls up and it was her dad! she got in and shut the door, until her dad got into a serious tone.
"Laurie, I heared that your dating someone in the team?" Coach Dan said to Laurie, in a cold, serious voice.
"What..? no I'm not! it's probably just some fake rumours." Laurie then felt like having a panic attack.
"Why didn't you tell me.."
"That, you were dating Kai?" Laurie's dad tone then became curious.

"So, whats the problem if ur a girl, and you are also dating a girl?" Laurie's dad said.
"your not.. mad..?" Laurie replied, really really confused.
"why would I be mad?"
"because, im dating a girl.. and im a Christian.." Laurie told her dad, her words coming off as soft.
"Laurie, I would'nt get mad at you just for following your heart. You can be Christian and queer at the same time." Laurie's dad replied
"thank you dad, for supporting me." Laurie then replied shortly after. Being thankful for the dad that she has.
