The Panic

Harry sat fear seeping into his features. His eyes had widened slightly, his heart pounding, his body gently trembling, and his lips falling into a full frown. Harry started to scoot back on his bed, keeping a distance to Snape. Snape looked at the boy oddly.

"Stop moving Potter!" Snape yelled. He hadn't like to see the privilege boy moving away from as if he was an abused animal. Harry didn't want to anger him more, if he did he could possibly get even more hurt. Harry slowly came to a stop, still frightened of being hurt. "Come closer, boy."

Boy... The one name Harry wished to never be called. It made Harry tense with so much fear. Harry would have moved if Snape hadn't called him boy. Harry's breath started to stutter. His mind growing hazy as all he can think of is his Uncle Vernon.

"I won't ask again, Potter." Everything Snape said blew over his head. He couldn't think of anything but his Uncle barging into his cabinet under the stairs. "Fine. Be like that." Snape grabs onto Harry's arm, the grip is strong. All too similar to Uncle Vernon's grip after Harry did something freaky. Harry felt like he was drowning.

"I'm sorry.... Please don't hurt me... Don't hurt me Sir..." Harry sounded much pitiful. He couldn't breathe, it felt like all there was in his lungs was water, preventing him from gaining air. His eyes tightly sewn shut. Snape looked at the boy oddly. Wonder what was going through his mind. He could use Legilimens, but due to it being highly illegal Snape decided against it.

"Potter," Snape sighs. Not expecting to have to comfort a student he hates. "I'm not going to hurt you. You need to breathe." His voice seemed more gentle, a gentleness that had never passed Harry's ears.

Harry just couldn't breathe. The water raised higher and higher, it felt like the water was in his lungs and throat. All Harry could hear was Vernon saying he would hurt Harry, but in reality Vernon had. Harry hadn't even realized when Draco stood in the doorway to his room.

"Is he alright?" Draco was oddly concerned, he was more curious than concerned though.

"Go get a calming draught from my lab, Draco." Snape order harshly, the gentleness gone from his voice. The quick steps of Draco heading to Snape's lab was muffled to Harry. "Potter." Snape called a little more gently. When the boy didn't look at him, keeping his eye shut tightly. "Harry." This voice was much more gentle than before. Harry still didn't look at the man. Draco walking back in took Snape's eyes off of Harry.

"Here, Professor." Draco handed the vial of the potion to the Professor. "What happening to him?" Draco hadn't seen anyone act like this before.

"A panic attack." Snape took the vial when it was handed to him. Gently tipping Harry's face up with a finger, Snape opens the vial and places it on Harry's lips. Hoping Harry would drink it himself. His hopes didn't come true. He was met with some resistance, so Snape started to slowly pour the vial in Harry's mouth. Harry took much longer to ingest the potion. When the vial was empty, Harry looked a little drowsy. His eyes slightly flickering and his head swaying a bit. The draught making him tired. Draco had watched curiously the entire time. "You should go Draco. I think I will be occupied until Dinner."

Draco would have protested against leaving, but he didn't. Draco just nodded and walked off to his room.

Snape looked at Harry. He was acting more gentle. Harry was a bit sluggish. "Do you want to explain? Or would you rather I search through your mind?" Snape wanted to see what had caused such panic in the boy. When Harry didn't respond, Snape took it as an invitation to look in his mind. Situating himself and Harry to be more comfortable, Snape gently pressed this fingers to Harry's temples.

Harry's mind seemed off, in a way. It was filled with memories, but there seemed to be blanks. Every wizards memories appeared different. Some wizards played like movies, some had photos, but Harry had a book. Upon opening the book Snape could watch the photos of each memory slowly move. Snape flipped through many of the photos and pages. Several spots had torn pages. Where a page should be was only and inch of torn paper. This heavily confused Snape.

"Get out of my head you git." Harry said, his words came a bit slower. Harry wasn't where Snape was, but Harry could feel what Snape was doing.

"I don't think I will Potter. Not until I learn why you panicked." Snape started to walk around the area that was Harry's mind.

"Stay away." Snape was confused by what Harry said. He hasn't realized the fact that he was approaching a brick wall, a barrier.

"And what is this?" Snape gently touched the wall. Feeling the emotions locked behind it. Sadness and anger.

"Get away from it." Harry was louder now. Not to the point of yelling, just louder.

Snape didn't move nor stop touching the wall. He wanted to see what was behind it. Even if it pushed the boys limits, he was going to see what the boy locked away in his mind. "I will not care for your protests Potter. I'm going to see what is behind this wall, nothing you do or say will stop me." Snape was speaking sternly.

"You don't need to see anything behind that wall." Harry stated, he tried to sound stern but failed. "What is behind that wall is none of your business and never will be." Harry was a bit more mad.

"Once again, Mister Potter, I will not care for your protests. I will see what I want." Snape snarled at Harry, anger growing in him as well. Snape turned to the wall and started to decipher how to take the wall down. Snape wouldn't stop until he looked behind that wall. Snape started to search again. Figuring how to get inside the wall. Snape wasn't going to waste anytime after finding out how to take the wall down. He started to remove each brick. He wasn't too gentle with it, but he didn't do it as harshly as he could.

"Professor! Stop!" Harry yelled out. Not wanting Snape to find everything he was hiding. He didn't need Snape to know about his past.

"I will not." Upon removing the last of the bricks a large amount of letters fell to the ground. All from different times.

What would Snape find? What was Harry hiding?
