Dear Harry,

I heard about what happened during the Qudditch mach. I do hope your doing okay. I'd have sent you some treats but I cant seem to get out of this bloody house. I hope the happenings during the match haven't caused to much trouble, though I suppose it would be a bit of a spook for anyone. Life has been horrible here, just a bit pent up I suppose. Remmy is here and he takes great joy in constantly beating me in chess though its not so difficult really.

I'm sad you haven't sent me any letters until August, you'll have to do a bit better next season wont we. Anyways, I miss you dearly, cant wait for you to write me back, life is terribly boring you know. I suppose this letter should reach you on the express so don't hurt yourself reaching out the window there Bambi.

I love you cub, Snuffles

I wiped a tear from my eye. I suppose I'd never had a parental figure before. I loved Sirius. I was ever grateful for him and his guidance. I supposed he was a bit messed from his time in Azkaban, but he's still the closest I've ever had to a father. Other that Remus, though I suppose he's a bit different. More like a mother, wouldn't let you do anything fun if it even seemed a tad dangerous. I smiled at that. Hermione and Ron sat opposite to me on other sides of the bench, Hermione by the window reading a sixth year book. There was a knock on the compartment door before Fred and George walked in. Ron sniffed and rolled his eyes. The twins made a B-line for him and Ron was bombarded with God knows what. I made a quick escape excusing myself to the restroom. Eternally glad Hermione was the only one who acknowledged me, with a quirk of her eyebrow before continuing to read.

I practically fell into the hallway of the train and began walking aimlessly to one end in hopes of finding an unoccupied loo before the wins found me. As I turned a corner I was met with a short girl. Her hair was platinum blonde like Malfoy's but her eyes where strikingly blue where his where a strange silver. She wore a purple coat with pom poms hanging on the threads over her Ravenclaw uniform. She was strikingly beautiful in an odd sort of way. Seeming as she was in another place rather then on earth.

"Hello Harry! I was hoping to speak to you would you mind sitting with me for a bit?" She offered Me one of the brightest smiled I'd seen. Though I didn't know this girl and did not like the idea of entertaining people who though I was famous.

"I'm sorry I don't know you, I don't really..." I trailed off not quite wanting to say 'entertain fans' it seemed a bit conceded.

"Oh well how are you so posed to know me if you wont speak to me!" She beamed in a childish sort of way, "Please, just for a bit. My compartment is the first on back along the hallway! C'mon." leaving me no choice as she dragged me to her compartment I tried to process what was happening. She sat me down across from her and began to speak,

"Im excited for the new year. Though its a bit barbaric there holding such a competition, with all the schools they'll attract hundreds of Nargles!" She sighed.

"Competition...?" I asked ignoring whatever Nargles where.

"Yes the triwizard tournament, The wrackspurts are all around you!" She said sympathetically. Thus began the longest, most confusing, yet most entertaining conversation of my life. I so posed talking to, who I now knew was Luna Lovegood, was a lovely change of pace. she made just as much sense as she didn't. I'd become so engrossed in conversation I hadn't realized we where talking for so long until there was a voice announcing five minutes from arrival.

"See you at school Harry!" She waved as dismissal. I rose from my seat,

"See you Luna!" I waved before leaving. I'd only talked to her for a short span of time but I knew she would be a great friend. I walked through the busy halls of people calling back and fourth before entering my old compartment to find an equally anxiously looking Hermione and Ron.

"Mate where where you!?" Ron asked loudly causing Hermione to jump.

"Sorry, I left to avoid the twins pranks and bumped into a very strange girl. She asked to talk to me for a bit, so I thought I could indulge her for a bit, but I got distracted and lost track of time." I rushed out smiling. Hermione and Ron glanced at each other strangely before continuing to pack there things (Ron had dropped quite a lot of candy wrappers.)

We got in the carriages, hearing Hagrid yell "O'ver h're first'ies o'ver h'ere lot of em." I chuckled and began a conversation with Hermione about upcoming classes. She was positively delighted I wanted to talk about our education.

As we crossed the river I couldn't help but ponder who our new defense teacher was. by probability it would be someone horrible. We finally made it in the great hall, my stomach was so ready for the feast that was to come. I clapped a long with the others when someone was sorted in Gryffindor but otherwise I stayed relatively focused on food. I'd eaten well at the Weasley's but I'd still have to catch up with my diet from the summer.

Just then Dumbledore announced a late tournament so that’s what Luna mentioned I thought idly. That’s when an ominous thudding sounded from the door. Men and women in large fur cots began to walk into the room rather violently. They made dragons of fur and twirled sticks, I so pose it was bloody cool but I was a bit to absentminded to truly appreciate the display. Then Gorgeous men and women came into the room dancing like muggle acrobats and swinging. It felt a bit like Hogwarts was a charity case compared to their displays.

When the food appeared I graciously dug in savoring every bite. Almost completely forgetting the other schools. When I was full to burst (which I so posed wasn't much for me) I grabbed a slice of treacle tart and dug in. I'd been missing this desert all summer. It would never not taste amazing to me. I hummed in satisfaction during my last bite before I leaned back.

It was perfect timing to as the prefects began leading first years. As I walked back to the Gryffindor tower among the other upper years I wondered the new defense teacher. I hadn't really paid attention during his speech but the man seemed a bit barmy. Me and Ron rapidly passed the group of Firsties gathered before the prefects, and made our way to the dorm. We'ed moved up a year so the dorm was higher up the stairs. I eagerly took the bed in the far corner by the window and threw myself down on it. It was good to be home.
