Gabriel sat hunched over in the camarvan holding an empty beer bottle listlessly in his hand only vaguely aware of the sound of fighting outside, he was hiding away like a coward as his body ached and his heart twisted. How did everything go so wrong?

His pride first of all was his biggest weakness, instead of getting the treatment that he needed that Aspen had practically begged him to get. He instead drowned out the pain with alcohol. Alcohol that clouded his mind and made him act like a fucking monster that pushed everyone who had ever even remotely cared about him away.

Julian his vice president and almost mate despised the very ground he walked on and he deserved it for everything he had ever done to the duck hybrid, whose eyes once shone with youthful optimise were now dulled with anger and resentment.

Callum the pup that he had considered his own, the one he had wanted to protect more than anything, the first one to notice something was wrong and to try and stop his drinking and how did he repay him? By beating him down and belittling him.

And Theodore, his little Theo, his son, his pup! He finally had the chance to be in his son's life and he had promised him the world but instead, he had him publicly executed by one of his friends at a festival that he put together.

Even Logan had only promised to fight alongside him out of obligation, not loyalty and then he had not even bothered to show up, instead, he left it up to his very unhappy friends who if the sounds outside were any indication had very quickly surrendered.

They would be coming for him soon and there was nothing he could do but sit here and accept the death that he deserved.

He barely registered the fact that practically the entire server was now huddled in or around the camarvan, the shouting was just a dull roar in his ears as his heart twisted painfully. He ignored Sally’s taunting or the fact that Ezran was pointing a crossbow right at him and instead, he focused on the faces of the three Omega that meant so much to him, he would like them to be the last things he saw.

Julian looked just as angry and resentful as he had come to expect from the duck hybrid but the pups had a certain level of sadness in their eyes, were they sorry for him? They shouldn’t be, he didn’t deserve their sympathy.

“Stop!” A voice commanded and Gabriel couldn’t help but look to see who it was and saw Dawn marching towards him as red magic seeped out of her hands and pushed everyone back.

“Dawn what the hell?!” Sally shouted questioningly as she tried to push against the magic but it wouldn’t budge, Dawn just ignored her as she crouched down in front of Gabriel who blinked at her sluggishly wondering what exactly she was about to do.

“Stupid instincts and stupid bleeding heart” The admin grumbled to herself and Gabriel gave her a confused look only for a shocked yelp to escape him as Dawn placed one hand on his chest and another on his forehead before magic shot straight through his veins.

“I may not like you very much Gabriel Hollows but there are people who would mourn your death and I would hate to see them sad” Dawn muttered and Gabriel just blinked dumbly at the woman, stunned to even utter a word.

As the magic continued to seep into him he was able to pick up the faint scent of lavender and... Omega?! Holy fucking shit Dawn was an Omega! He had pissed off an Omegan Admin! How was he not already six feet under?!

A few more moments passed before Dawn pulled her hands away as the magic disappeared, she went to stand up only for her legs to go weak and she almost collapsed back to the ground but Gabriel instinctively reached up to help brace her. Dawn stared at him for a long moment and even though Gabriel couldn’t see her eyes it felt like the admin was looking into his soul.

“I just saved you from a heart attack” She finally said as she stood up properly and Gabriel’s eyes widened in shock as he placed a hand on his chest. Dawn stared at him for another moment before she turned to face the rest of the server who was staring at her in shock.

“As the Admin of this server, I hereby sentence Gabriel Hollows to house arrest for his actions against the server” She announced seriously and was immediately met with outcry.

“What the fuck Dawn?! After everything that man has done he deserves death!” Sally snarled but Dawn just stared her down unbothered.

“I do not wish to see permanent death on my server Salacia Everdeen” She stated coldly stunning Sally into silence, satisfied with this Dawn turned to look at Sebastian.

“Please bring him to my cottage, I’d like to keep an eye on the house arrest personally” She requested and Sebastian nodded as he walked over to Gabriel and hefted him up onto his feet, the ram hybrid was too stunned to stop the other Alpha and simply allowed himself to be lead away.

“One more thing Gabriel” Dawn suddenly remarked and Gabriel turned to look at her.

“My magic can only do so much to save you, you will need real medical treatment if you wish to continue living” She stated seriously and Gabriel just nodded numbly as Sebastian continued to lead him away.

Only a moment after they were out of sight did the strength in Dawn’s legs give out once again and she almost hit the ground, thankfully Briar was close enough to catch her and he allowed the blonde to lean against him tiredly.

“Fuck that was a lot of magic” She groaned and Briar chuckled softly as he began to lead the admin away from the camarvan.

“Let’s find you somewhere to sit and get some water in you” Briar said softly and Dawn let out a small hum of agreement.

“That sounds nice” She mumbled sleepily as she allowed herself to be led away.
