Prologue
The green light of the killing curse filled his vision. Voldemort’s manic laughter echoed in his ears. Harry Potter fell to the earth, lifeless, his holly and phoenix-feather wand clutched limply in his hand.
He opened his eyes to a blindingly white train station. He would think it to be King’s Cross Station, if not for the lack of people and the absence of any color. His thoughts were proven correct a moment later, when two words appeared floatin in the air before him. The letters hovered, vaguely foreboding. GAME OVER.
Harry blinked in surprise. He reached up to adjust his glasses, thinking he was seeing things that weren’t there. His fingers grasped at empty air; there were no glasses resting on the bridge of his nose. Yet, he could see just fine. More words came into being as the original two dissolved into the air in a burst of square fragments.
New Game? YES or NO
Options
Confused, Harry raised a shaky finger and touched the word Options. He then picked the word Menu when it appeared. The words once again dissolved and were immediately replaced. Music, instrumental and poor quality as if coming from the speakers in an elevator began to fill the empty white space of the train station.

New Game
Settings
“My life was a video game?” Harry questioned, not expecting an answer. Sickened resignation and growing anger sat heavily in the pit of his stomach. The silence of the white train station revealed nothing. Unfortunately, there was no button to click for help. So, with a huff of breath, he checked out Settings.
SETTINGS:
Difficulty Level: Hard (Includes: No Tutorial, No Quests, No Map, Harry’s Horrible Childhood, Harry’s Horrible Hogwarts Years, Bad Eyesight, Permanent Death, and more fun features!)
Return to Menu
Harry took one look at the settings and cursed loudly. “Bloody hell! Damn this game! Why is it on the most difficult setting?!” Face flushed red, he took several deep breaths. Eventually, he calmed down enough to tap the word Hard with his finger. Seeing that he could pick other difficulty levels, including Medium and Easy, he changed the difficulty to the latter.
SETTINGS:
Difficulty Level: Easy (Includes: Tutorial, Quests, Map, 20/20 Vision, Temporary Death, and more fun features!)
Return to Menu
Harry then picked Return to Menu. There was now a new option on the menu, labeled Help. He clicked on it hopefully, and it showed him the game’s commands: Inventory, Character Info, and Crafting. Each command had a short explanation provided. There were three locked commands, dulled out in gray: Relationships, Library and Wealth. All of them seemed useful, and Harry's smiled from the rush of excitement at all the possibilites. Satisfied at the moment, he went back to the menu and chose New Game.
The train station glowed brighter, until he was forced to close his eyes from the light. Suddenly, the ground disappeared beneath his feet.
