Aftermath
Regulus p.o.v:
I awoke tired and sore. I look around to see I was in bed, in an unfamiliar room. I stood up and carefully made my way through the house “Sirius.” I call for my brother remembering everything that happened before I passed out. “Regulus.” I hear someone gasps behind me. I turn around to see Dorcas standing there with tears in her eyes.
“Hey Dorcas.” I smile before she pulled me in a hug “I knew you would be okay but the avatar state took a lot of energy from you, you’ve been unconscious for two days.”
“Where is Sirius, how is James, where are the others?” I asks her.
“Everyone is fine or as good as to be expected.” She answers “Kyoshi island is back to the way it was, everyone is cleaning up the rubbish the fire nation soldiers left behind. The kyoshi warriors are patrolling more in order to keep an eye out for any invaders. Lily is with them, she was worried about Mary, you and your brother. She needed to do something to keep her busy. Mary has luckily woken up but she is still weak. Sirius is still passed out, he is hurt very bad but when we found him, he was out of life threating danger miraculously. Hagrid the healer of this island told us that he should’ve been death judging by the place he was stabbed but Sirius is recovering, slowly but surely.”
“Maybe it’s his healing abilities as a healer?” I tell her not ready to disclose yet that It was me who used spirit water to save him. I needed to speak to my brother first.
“That was my guess as well.” Dorcas nods “Remus hasn’t left his bedside most of the time, he only left to check up on you or Mary and then returned to Sirius. He hasn’t eaten or showered ever since you all got hurt.”
“And James?” I ask her
“He hasn’t talked to anyone, he pulled himself away for everyone.” Dorcas sighs “He blames himself, he doesn’t think he allowed to be consoled or to be here. I see him slip in your and Sirius’s rooms when he thought no one was watching. I worry about him.”
“I will talk to him.” I tell him “After I see Sirius.”
“Ofourse, come follow me I will bring you to him.” Dorcas says as she motioned for me to follow her.
“and how are you holding up?” I ask her “it seems like you are taking care of everyone else.”
“I was worried, Sirius was on the brink of death and I still don’t know if he will be okay even though everyone tells me he will be fine and then there was you, I knew you would be fine but seeing you knocked out with all those burn marks was awfull.” She says “Do they hurt.”
“Don’t chance the subject.”
She blushes “Well Marlene is a great help to me, you know the blond Kyoshi warrior who kissed my cheek when we left. We kind of kept in contact during our journey and have developed feelings for each other. I think I love her and she has been here for me this entire time. I am sorry for not telling you about her.”
“it’s okay.” I smile at her “I am glad you found someone who makes you happy, you deserve it.”
“Don’t worry me like that again.” She sighs “I can’t lose you, my brother.”
“From no one we will do everything as a team.” I nod at her “ Splitting up has ended badly every time. No more. We won’t lose any one.” I rub my arms hissing as I move over the burn marks.
“Well it seems like that answers my earlier question.” Dorcas hands me some salve “ put this on your burns it will help, Hagrid the healer of Kyoshi island made this.”
“Thank you.” I accept the salve.
“I should warn you Reg.” Dorcas suddenly stopped infront of a door “Sirius is in bad shape.”
“I can imagine.” I sigh “Can you tell the other I have awoken. I need to see my brother on my own.”
“Ofcourse.” She hugs me one last time “I am so glad you are awake and here.”
“So am I.” I tell her before taking a deep breath and entering Sirius his room.
