So I've been in a historical rabbit hole lately and I've noticed there was only a little historical fiction base in France during the 1650s till up to the revolution, which is literally the most interesting time in France's fashion and politics wise.
You have:
•King's Louie the 14 and 15, great libertines
•jeanne du Barry a girl who crawled her way up into the French nobility
•extravagant colourful fashions ( during louie XIV one wrong thing could apparently be life or death)
•Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, Marquise de Pompadour was the chief mistress (Maîtresse-en-titre) of King Louie XV for 19 years but only slept with him for 5 of those years
Not to mention that King Charles II of England also reined during this time who was just as interesting. I want people explored this time period more
fan fact french kings show their virility by having mistresses and Louie 15 takes the cake with over 30 and even a hundred by some calculations
