Early Mornings
It was a quiet Sunday morning, Teddy and Remus Lupin were still sleeping while Sirius Lupin was cooking breakfast, sure it was seven am, but that god damn trauma is always causing problems. He tries not to think about it, instead thinking about his two favourite people, his son and husband, he’s been married to Remus for a year now, and his son is well into his third year of life, as he continued to cook breakfast he began humming along quietly to the record player that was currently playing ‘Monolith’ by T.Rex. He grinned to himself, looking over his shoulder as he heard a door open, emerging from the bedroom was very tired Remus, “Hi annywl..” He mumbled his voice deep and gruff, from sleep. Sirius laughed softly, “Hi mon amour, you alright?” Remus just nods, walking over to him, wrapping his arms around his waist silently placing his head on the raveonettes shoulder. Sirius takes this as a sign to go back to his cooking, swaying slightly along with the music, after about half an hour Remus pulled away to go get teddy up as the food was almost finished.
Remus approached Teddy’s bedroom gently pushing the door open, they had let Teddy design the room meaning it ended up with a lot of wolf and star related items and decor, including a mural on the wall with wolves under the night sky with many different constellations painted by his papa. Teddy was already sitting up in bed playing with his hair, “Daddy..!” He quietly called out slowly, removing himself from his blanket cocoon to run over and hug him, Remus smiled at the small boy gently picking him up, “Hey cariad.” He hummed out running a hand through his son's hair, “Ready for breakfast, papa made something yummy.” Teddy nodded slowly, holding onto his daddy tight. Remus carried Teddy to the kitchen/dining room, sitting him down, and like magic Sirius placed a plate of bacon, eggs (scrambled, because that is the only way teddy will eat them) and crumpets in front of him, the small three year old boy grinned up at his papa, “T-ank you Papa..” He mumbled out softly, starting to eat as his dads sat down and also started eating, Sirius is the first to speak up, “Teddy, do you want to go see Harry, Auntie Lils, Uncle Reggie and Uncle James later?” He asked him with a soft smile. Teddy’s smile grew at this idea as he began nodding much faster, speeding up his eating. Sirius laughed softly pulling out his phone probably to confirm the plan with Lily or Regulus because everyone knows James is still sleeping. Remus looked at Teddy sighing, “Slow down Teds, you’ll make yourself sick.” Teddy began slowing down his eating, glaring at his papa when he realised he was also eating very fast. The brunette adult noticed his son glaring and looked at Sirius, “Slow down Siri, you’ll make yourself sick.” He repeated, with a small smirk. Sirius was about to put more food in his mouth before slowly lowering it with a huff.
It was about ten in the morning when the small family started to make their way to the Potter’s house, Sirius carrying Teddy on his hip while also holding Remus’s hand, it was only a short walk to the Potter’s and instead of knocking Sirius just opened the door, calling out into the house, “I’m home!” Instantaneously Harry had ran over wrapping himself around Sirius’s leg, “UNCLE SIWIUS!” He screamed out, Teddy covered his ears quickly with a small frown on his face. Sirius gently placed Teddy on his feet, ruffling Harry’s hair while he was bent over, “Hey sprog, remember us talking about our volume?” He asked softly, and Harry quickly nodded, “Sowwy! Hi Teddy!” He grinned brightly, taking Teddy’s hand as he ran off to the playroom. Regulus stood against the door frame leading into the living room, “Brother.” He mumbled softly, “Remus.” He continued before turning to walk into the room. Sirius and Remus followed, still holding hands.
Remus sat in the armchair, instantly feeling the weight of his husband on top of him, thankfully Sirius had never been a heavy person, probably something to do with the Black genes as Regulus was also extremely slim built. Regulus was currently reading in another arm chair while Lily and James were sitting on the large couch, Lily smiled looking at them, “We need to tell you something.” Sirius and Remus just looked at her expectantly, James grinned brightly, “We’re having another baby!” He said excitedly, he always spoke about having a child and making sure said child wasn’t an only child through-out secondary school so it wasn’t much of a shock for Remus or Sirius. Sirius grinned, “Fuck yeah! I’m so happy for you three!” He said happily getting up to hug Lily tight, Regulus smiled slightly at this, he and his brother still had a rocky relationship but it was definitely improving and had improved a lot. Watching his brother be so sweet with his lovers made him think much highly of the older male.
