“I’m sorry, after all you’ve done for me, all I can offer is a stupid rose.”
“I like roses.”
“It’s not even red.”
“It’s beautiful.”
James crowded him in close, breathing the words against his cheek, the rose held carefully between two fingers, his other hand tangled in Remus’ curls.
