The truth
'What...what do you mean?' came a heavy voice. The voice sounded as lost and shocked as anything else.
'What you heard Snape' sneered another voice, this voice was scratchy as if it hadn't been used in years.
'Don't play games with me Black' hissed the first voice belonging to a Severus Snape who was now looking at Sirius Black with more hatred than he had looked at him in all his years at Hogwarts.
'Why would I lie Snape? What will I gain from this? Nothing, if you don't believe me better' Black scoffed shrugging his shoulders 'I'll find my godson on my own and he can live with me, Remus and Harry.'
Snape's pale face looked at the escapee's face. Pale sick skin, long messy greasy hair, glazed eyes and a lean body that was forced to stand upright. He was angry, so very angry, angry not so much with the person in front of him but with himself.
'Albus' whispered, begging for the one answer that would change his life. For the one answer that for the first time in his life he wanted that the fucking mout was telling the truth.
Albus Dumbledore's old face looked as if he had grown since Severus Snape entered his office with Sirius Black tied with ropes to hang out behind him and the great trio who were never missing from any problem. He had sent the children to the hospital wing and after hearing Severus dramatic story and Sirius Black's not so dramatic story he tried to come to some compromise between the two. And all was well until Sirius told them an unbelievable story. A story that would change magical history. A story he was sure would change Severus for the better.
He sighed and stroked his beard 'I don't know anything about Lily having another child.....' he stopped and looked at Severus 'but despite that I find myself believing Sirius, Severus' he paused once more and seeing Severus' eyes light up, he smiled 'I think we should investigate and find this boy that Sirius is talking about.'
Sirius' gray eyes turned to him and seemed to have lost a bit of their cloudiness, a spark ignited between them 'I might have an idea where he is' he said proudly. He find one of his godson and now he is in the happy position to help his other one.
'I'm glad, but I think this is a discussion in the morning, it's way past bedtime and I'd like to talk to Severus alone for a bit, if you don't mind Sirius I hope you didn't forget the way to the hospital wing'
A small smile appeared on Sirius' lips 'of course not Albus' he said and walked out before stopping at the door 'and for the record Severus, he may be your son but he's my godfson and I'll be damned if I don't look for him and I'll give him the love he deserves.'
Severus turned to Albus and looked at him with a confused look 'I know what you said before but I want you to tell me the truth, you know?'
Albus looked at him for a moment before getting up and walking over to Fox who was squealing happily as Albus lifted his hand and started stroking it 'No Severus, no I didn't know, I could never do that to you I know you question my actions some times but I care about you, I care about all of you so no I could never hide your son from you, not something so important.'
Severus looked into the blue eyes and all he saw was guilt and care.
'I will find him, I have my ways and I promise you he will be with you soon.'
'Albus......I believe you' the black eyes closed for a moment and imagined. His son, his and Lily's son, Harry Potter's little half-brother, was hiding in the muggle world, not knowing that the next days would change his life forever.
