Otherwise these letters are just unnecessary emotional damage.Just to be clear, Sirius wrote these letters in case something happened to him when he and Regulus went after the Horcruxes. James and Remus never actually get these letters.Dear Brother series premise -- Just imagine Sirius in a bar drunk on the 1 year anniversary of when Regulus left for the cave. He starts talking with the bartender when he starts telling him about how much he loves his brother and misses him a lot.
