Jealous
Jamie was happy for Regulus, she really was, but sometimes it was hard not to get jealous.
Regulus pov:
Jamie was acting different, she seemed distant and Regulus couldn't even remember the last time they had a full conversation. I was like Jamie was avoiding him. When he told Barty and Evan this they just shrugged him off. "She's Jamie Potter she never hides anything" they said. But Regulus just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with his girlfriend.
Jamie pov:
Regulus seemed stressed, he kept looking at Jamie like he wanted to say something all throughout Potions. When it was time to go, Regulus mentioned an appointment he needed to go to. "Walk with me?" he said.
"Umm yeah ok" Jamie said trying to sound normal.
"Can I walk with you two as well?" said Pandora.
"Of course Panda" Jamie said almost releived it wouldn't just be her and Regulus.
On the way there they talked about homework and upcoming classes. When they finally got to the hospital wing Regulus kissed her goodbye and promised to see her later and left her and Pandora stood in the hall. "What's going on then?" Pandora said, clearly sensing something wrong. "What do you mean? Nothing is wrong" Jamie replied.
"I'm mean the fact you have been acting off for the last couple of weeks, especially with Regulus" Pandora stated. "Come with me" Pandora then said after Jamie stayed quiet. "Panda, we have to get to class" Jamie said, trying to avoid the topic. "You can skip one lesson" Pandora said "Follow me". Jamie just obliged knowing better than to refuse Pandora. She made her follow her up to the astronomy tower, and sat down against the wall nearest to the railings. Jamie copied crossing her legs and leaning against the cold stone. "Why are you avoiding Regulus?" Pandora said. Jamie sighed not sure what to say. "I guess-" she started "I mean I guess I feel jealous for some reason"
"Jealous?" Pandora questioned "Jealous how?"
"I mean sometimes I just wish I could be like him, I wish I could have short hair or a deeper voice. Does that make sense?" Jamie said. "It's probably stupid, sorry"
"It's not stupid Jamie your feelings are valid" Pandora said "Is that the reason you asked if we could call you Jamie?"
"I didn't feel comfortable with my actual name anymore" Jamie said.
"But I mean you asked us to start calling you Jamie months ago, how long have you been feeling like this?"
Jamie sighed again. "I don't even know when it started to be honest"
Pandora pov:
Jamie had apparently been feeling like this for at least a few months and nobody had noticed. She felt awful that she hadn't noticed sooner. "Pandora" Jamie said.
"Yeah?" Pandora responded.
"I don't think I want to be a girl, I think I'm a boy" Jamie stated.
"You know I will always support you, right?" Pandora said.
"Thank you" Jamie said.
"Would you prefer for me to call you by he/him pronouns?" Pandora asked softly.
"When it's just us for now, just until I tell people I think." He said.
"You don't have to rush to tell people you know, it's not theirs to know." She said.
"I know, thank you panda" he said.
"Always, and you'll stop avoiding Reg?" She responded.
"Yeah, I promise" he said holding out his pinky, Pandora did the same and they swore on it.
