Food
Lunella was trying, and failing, to get Cami to eat her food. “Come on!” she groaned. The girl was an exceptionally picky eater and couldn’t be persuaded to eat her green bean mush. More often than not, it ended up in Lunella’s face or on the floor than in the baby’s mouth.
Casey was in the kitchen watching the entire ordeal trying her best to not laugh.
“What is so funny?” Lunella asked faux-angrily.
“Nothing,” Casey snickered, “it’s just after years of feeding Devil, you’d think you’d be better at this whole ‘feeding someone’ thing” she said. Suddenly a lightbulb went off in Lu’s head.
“Casey that’s it! If Cami thinks Devil likes the food she’ll eat it too!” Lunella said with a glint in her eyes.
“Lu what if Devil doesn’t like the food?” Casey asked.
“Case, he doesn’t have to like the food, just has to pretend to.” she said mischievously.
She called Devil to the apartment. “Hey buddy, I need you to do me a favor. Cami doesn’t wanna eat her food, so I figured if she saw you eating it, she’d wanna eat it too.”
Devil mrooed out a suspicious grunt. “Come on buddy, if not for me, Cami?” she said as she pulled out her best puppy dog eyes. Devil couldn’t say no to those eyes, and Cami was like his baby sister.
“Thank you baby!” Lunella said, kissing his snout.
“Hey Cami!” Lu said in a cheerful tone, “your big brother loves this!” She fed the dinosaur the mush.
Devil tried to not gag, the smell hitting his nostrils like a truck.
“Yummy right?” Lu looked at Cami scanning her face for some sort of baby approval.
Cami babbled with joy, clearly amused by the dinosaur’s disgusted face. “It actually worked,” Casey said with a surprised face.
“Told you,” Lunella stated confidently. “Yes you did,” Casey chuckled as she kissed Lu’s cheek.
