Stargazing
After being bamboozled by James, Regulus leaves the library and heads down to the dungeons and into the Slytherin common room. He quickly waves to Dorcas and her girlfriend Marlene as he walks into his dorm and sees Barty laying on his bed.
Regulus flops onto his bed and sighs. “I had the weirdest experience in the library.” Barty finally looks at him. “Well what happened?”
Regulus replies. “Fucking James potter kept on nagging me and then he tricked me into helping him with his homewo-“
Barty cuts him off. “Mate, stop talking about that potter git for once and listen to what I have to say.”
The other boy groans. “Fine, tell me about your amazing life.”
Barty sighs. “You’re gonna kill me for this.” Regulus replies. “Barty, it can’t be that bad just say it.” Barty groans.
“I’m in love with Evan.”
Regulus’ jaw drops. “What the fuck, Barty?” Regulus pauses for a second. “You’re telling me that you’re in love with your best mate. Are you out of your bloody mind?”
Barty rolls over onto his stomach and buries his face in his pillow and mumbles. “I know, it’s stupid.” Regulus sighs. “Okay, it’s not that bad but still, what the fuck?”
Barty groans. “I hate you so much right now, Black.” Regulus grins. “Can I tell pandora?” Barty replies quickly. “Absolutely not. You know she would immediately tell Evan.”
“Well it’s not my fault she’s Evan’s twin.”
Barty scoffs. “Go jump off a bridge, Regulus.”
“Oi! I’m trying to help you here and for the record, I’ve already tried jumping and it didn’t work.”
“That’s emo.” Barty replies, Regulus scoffs. “Piss off, crouch.”
“Anyways, let’s continue on the fact that you’re crushing on your best mate.”
“It’s not my fault!” Barty says. “I can’t help the fact I fell for a bloke.”
The other boy grins. “Glad I don’t like anyone.”
Barty sits up and smirks. “James potter.”
Regulus looks at him confused. “What about Potter?”
“You like him.” Barty’s smirk widens.
“Are you going insane? First of all, he’s my brothers best mate and you know what I think of Sirius’ friends. Second, he’s always trying to annoy me and third, he’s a Gryffindor.”
Barty scoffs and replies. “Look at Dorcas, she’s dating Gryffindor and it doesn’t matter.”
“You know what I mean, Barty. He’s just an annoying git that I would never date.”
Barty grins widely. “I’m telling Ev you like Potter.”
Regulus replies. “Then I’m telling Evan you like him.” Barty’s look changes from a grin to a straight face. “Don’t you dare.”
Regulus is now the one grinning. “I’m done here. I told Pandora I would meet up with her at the astronomy tower.”
“Bye, little Reggie!” Barty calls out and Regulus turns around. “If you call me that one more time I will rip your ear out you dumb twat.”
Barty smirks “Damn Regulus, that’s dark.”
Regulus walks out the dorm door and Barty sits on his bed smirking.

Regulus takes a few more steps until he reaches the top of the astronomy tower and finds Pandora already sitting there looking at the sunset and somehow Pandora already knows Regulus is there. “The sun is beautiful isn’t it?”
Regulus replies. “Erm, yeah it is.” Regulus sits down next to Pandora. “So, what did you want me here for panda?”
“You seem a little down, what’s up?” Pandora says, hoping for an answer.
“I’m not feeling down.” Regulus replies. “Just stressed about exams.” Pandora smiles at the boy and says. “You know reg, you are a very smart boy and you study a lot so I don’t think you’ll have any trouble with exams.”
“I would be studying more if Potter wouldn’t be annoying me all the time in the library. I mean like, he’s always there when I go for some reason and it annoys me and I don’t know how but he always gets something out of me. It’s like he can get whatever he wants out of anyone and you know I don’t let that slide.”
Pandora giggles a bit and covers her mouth. “You like him don’t you?” Regulus scoffs. “I don’t know why everyone says I like him when I clearly don’t.” Regulus pauses for a second. “It’s so annoying, why would I ever like a person like that? He alway’s annoys me but then for some reason whenever he talks to me I feel something in my chest and all of a sudden I get nervous and don’t know what to say or do.”
Pandora doesn’t hide it and more and giggles. “You just proved my point.”
Regulus replies. “How?”. Pandora smiles at him and says. “You said that you get a feeling in your chest, right?” Regulus sighs. “Well…yes.” Pandora almost says something but then realizes and goes along with what Regulus is saying. “Nevermind then.”
Regulus looks at Pandora sternly. “Say it.” The girl giggles more. “It’s nothing, don’t worry about it reg.” Regulus says. “Just say it panda, I won’t get mad.” Pandora replies. “It’s nothing. Trust me.”
There’s comfortable silence for a couple of minutes and then pandora says. “Why don’t you hang out with your brothers friends anyways? Peter is actually very nice, we talk a lot during herbology. I know you’re somewhat friends with Remus but maybe you could be nice to James, maybe he just wants to know his best friends little brother more.”
Regulus sighs. “There is absolutely no way I’ll become friends with those people.” Pandora doesn’t let him finish his sentence. “And there’s also Lily, she’s really pretty and really really kind.”
Regulus is intrigued now. “Hold on, did you just say that Evans girl is really pretty?” Regulus smirks and pandora replies with. “Well yeah, she’s gorgeous, her hair always looks stunning and she has the most beautiful green eyes ever.”
Regulus’ smirk widens and says. “You’re crushing on her, aren’t you?” Pandora fights back a smile. “Well maybe I am…”
Pandora notices Regulus’ smirk starting to fade away. “Is there something wrong with that?” Pandora says and Regulus replies with.”Well no, not necessarily. It’s just Lily has another admirer.”
Pandora frowns. “Oh, do you know who?” Regulus sighs and replies. “It’s Potter, he’s totally obsessed with Lily.”
The girls frown deepens. “Oh, okay. That’s fine I guess. As long as she’s happy.” Regulus notices and pats her shoulder. “Hey, it’s alright panda. You still have a chance.” What regulus said makes pandora smile a bit. “Thanks Reggie.”
After another couple minutes of comfortable silence and regulus leaning his head on pandora’s shoulder while she plays with the boys hair, they hear footsteps coming up the stairs.
They both look at the stairs to see Sirius walking holding a pack of cigarettes and Remus following behind with a cigarette in his mouth, Sirius finally notices Regulus and pandora and says. “Reggie! How’s my adorable little brother doing?” Regulus turns to face him annoyed and a bit disgusted as he replies. “Don’t call me adorable you fatass and I was doing fine until you came here.”
Sirius makes a hurt noise and says. “Ouch, little bro. Me and moony just came up here to smoke, no need to be so harsh.” Regulus just smirks.
Sirius continues talking. “Anyways, want a fag?” Regulus replies. “Yeah, I need one.” Sirius turns to face Pandora “want one as well Pandora?” Pandora replies with. “Sorry, I don’t smoke.” She continues to smile and play with Regulus’ hair.
“Oi Reggie.” Sirius calls out as he takes a drag from his cigarette.”how come you let pandora touch your hair but not me? I thought we were supposed to be brothers.”
Regulus scoffs and replies with. “Piss off, Siri.” Sirius acts hurt and shocked. “Wow Reg, I’m heartbroken.”
“You are so fucking annoying, I hope you know. I genuinely don’t know how you have friends.” Regulus says.
Sirius smirks. “I could say the same about you. How do you have friends?”
Regulus scoffs. “I can make friends if I want to.”
Sirius’ smirk grows wider. “Oh really? Then why are you always alone?” Regulus replies with an annoyed face. “I have many friends for your information.”
“Then tell me who are your friends.”
Regulus replies with. “Well I have Barty, pandora…” he goes on and on until Sirius cuts him off. “Okay that’s enough talking, reg. I know you don’t have many friends but it’s fine.”
Regulus gets even more annoyed by this. “Okay, Sirius. Can you please shut the fuck up and go smoke somewhere else? I don’t want your bloody whining.” And then Regulus turns to Remus. “Look mate, I don’t know how you deal with that load of…bullshit. But, you’re brave for that.” Sirius just looks at him in shock. “That’s rude!” Remus holds Sirius back so he doesn’t throw hands with his younger brother and the taller boy says. “No. Padfoot, no.” Sirius exclaims. “Why not? He’s being a bitch!”
Remus sighs and says. “Don’t call your brother a bitch and we’re going.” Sirius makes a sound, almost like he’s whining. “But! I don’t wanna leave.” Remus replies with. “Yes you are now let’s go, pads.” Remus ends up dragging Sirius down the stairs while Regulus is laughing his ass off and Pandora is giggling.
When Sirius makes it halfway down he shouts. “I swear to Merlin, Regulus! I’ll get you back next time!” Regulus simply laughs even more.
Pandora manages to stop giggling and says. “Bloody hell, Reg. Your brother is quite something.”
Regulus chuckles. “Oh shut up, Panda.”
They sit there until the sky is dark and the star are shining bright. Regulus telling Pandora all about the Regulus star and how its in the Leo constellation and Pandora listens quietly, with a small smirk on her face.
