It started at the bell tower
James
James is at the Bell Tower. He doesn't know how he got there, and really, he doesn't seem to mind, rain is falling hard on him reminding him of stones. It almost numbs the inside pain, he lost his best friend of 13 years to a car accident.
He can still hear her laugh before they turned to screams. The image makes him close his eyes, working on his breathing exercises. He opens his eyes to find that he’s on the rail, he also doesn't seem to mind this, his hair is sticking to his face, droplets are on his glasses, clothes are sticking on to him like a second skin. But he simply just doesn't mind or even care
He turns his head to the side to find a person standing, watching him “Are you going to jump?” they shout, James had not actually thought of that, but now its the only thing clouding his vision. What would happen if I jumped? One step forward to meeting Marlene again.
The thought is quite tempting but it would be a hit for everyone as they just lost Marlene. She had moved in with the Potters 4 years ago when she was 12. Just after both her parents were arrested for selling drugs, she was James' sister, his rock. And she was gone
“You know the more you keep over-thinking the more the thought will grow” He says. “How do you know I'm thinking about it?” James asked attention momentarily averted “Well, you scrunch your eyebrows up and kept fiddling with your fingers, pretty obvious to me” the pretty boy had answered
Which James dubbed as a good name. He smiled “What’s your name?” he said, his voice appeared quiet compared to the roaring weather. “I’ll tell you once you get down?” he said unmoving and unwavering. James felt a smile tug up his lips and jumped down. “Name?” he asked going into flirting mode
“You know who I am, Jamie” The pretty boy said “Regulus?” James said blushing crimson “There you are Jamie, You were a bit lost now” Regulus looked him up and down before letting a small smile loose for himself “Your fine but your friends over there might think I've killed you, it was nice seeing you again Jamie”
Regulus leaves a stunned James who moves to the edge and sees a group of people looking up, he leans his back against the rail, rubbing his nose causing glasses to go up. He sighs and tilts his head back, glasses in one hand as he looks up at the sky.
It’s going to be a long day.
