Big, black dog
Remus was sitting outside in Hogwarts yard. He has a newspaper in his hands. Everywhere in the Daily Prophet was news that a dangerous mass murderer escaped from Azkaban. The picture of Sirius on the first page looked totally different that he remembered him to look. Sirius looked more malnourished, more crazy. It hurts Remus to see his friend like that.
Suddenly Remus hears a little whining in front of him. He puts down the newspaper and sees a dog. Big and black, too thin and sad looking dog. The dog looks at him sadly, almost in shame, and whines quietly. Remus looks at the dog for a long time without saying anything.
When the dog takes a careful step towards him, Remus drops to his knees on the wet grass. ‘’Pads?’’ He says quietly. The dog's ears perked up and it ran to Remus. The dog starts to jump, wag its tail and lick Remus face happily. It was definitely Sirius.
Remus smiles and hugs the wiggling dog. The dog calms down and stops jumping in Remus’ embrace. Remus buries his tearful face in the fur of the dog's neck, not caring that the dog wasn't so clean. ‘’I missed you so much Sirius.’’ He whispers. The dog licks his cheek in response.
