Does Snape know?
They sitted long time there. Just quiet and Remus holding Sirius in his arms. ‘’Are you going to stay here Pads?’’ Remus whispers in the dog-formed Sirius’ ear. Sirius nods his head in a not very dog-like way. ‘’Are you sure? It's not safe.’’ Sirius nods again. ‘’Then we better to get you inside and clean.’’ Remus reluctantly releases Sirius from his embrace and gets up. He starts to walk inside, glancing behind him to make sure that Sirius follows him.
When Remus walks along the corridors of the castle with a huge, black dog following him, some students stop to look at them, to make sure it was real.
When Remus suddenly stops, Sirius almost bumps into him, and lets out a huff. Remus stares at Snape, who's standing on the other end of the corridor. Snape looks at Remus, and his eyes move to the dog, who's standing behind Remus, looking like he's trying to be so small that nobody can see him.
They stand there for a long time just looking at each other, and Remus is sure that Snape knows the dog is Sirius. ‘’I… i can explain…’’ Remus starts, really not knowing how to explain. ‘’No. You don't have to. Just… get him cleaned and give him something to eat. He looks like he doesn't have eaten anythin in twelve years.’’ Snape says suprisingly gently.
Remus is suprised. He knows that Sirius doesn't like Severus, and Severus doesn't like Sirius. ‘’Thank you Severus.’’ Remus says, though he's not entirely sure why he's thanking. Severus nods. Sirius starts to wag his tail, and Severus looks little amused by that. Then Remus and Sirius starts to walk towards the bathroom again.
