Regulus Black
December 18th, 1998
"HOW COULD YOU..."
Regulus rolled his eyes, but he felt as if all of his organism's were coming up.
"Your... Your sick Reg"
Reg
Not Regulus Black, Reg, Reg was sick, Reg had blood on his hands.
"Sirius-" but the words got stuck in his throat, what could he say?
"DON'T!"
And with that Siri was gone, Sirius Orion Black ||| dishonored their family, betrayed their blood, and was dead to the family, but Siri was gone not dead, gone.
Siri left, Sirius Black was killed.
3 Hours Later
It was snowing hard, it looked cold, too cold.
Regulus pressed his cheek against the window pane, and watched as the street lights flickered in the snow.
It was just him now.
When he was a kid, him and Sirius would go up to the window and draw little pictures on the window while it was fogged up.
For the longest time it was just them, the Black Brothers up against a world that hated them.
And when one went the other did too.
But not anymore.
Regulus should have known that Sirius would leave after all everything Regulus touched eventually died.
Of course the Black Brothers love for each other never seemed to die and would probably never either but now Sirius regretted that love, loathed that love, and Reg wanted that love back more than anything else in the world.
The snow was coming down hard now, Regulus bit down hard on his lip, he ought to be worried, he ought to run outside and chase in tears yelling for him to come back even though it had been hours since he left. Sirius would have, Sirius wouldn't have stopped till he found Reg.
But Siri wouldn't have killed someone.
And Reg did.
December 20th, 1998
Regulus clothes were a mess, there was blood all over him, and the bathroom titles were dyed red.
"Please don't-"
Reg couldn't shake the poor woman's face from his mind. His mind was just as tainted as his heart.
He quickly turned the knob up in the bathtub, he needed to wash it off.
But he couldn't
And as he scrubbed, and scrubbed, and scrubbed till his own skin started to bleed, nothing would erase the blood on his hands.
Reg had done this too many times to count, in fact he might've done it every time since his very first kill over a year ago, and it never worked of course, but he would never stop trying.
Regulus watched as each red stained piece of clothing was removed from his body, this particular kill had been a lot more messier than Regulus had anticipated, due solely to that annoying fucking cop that kept following Reg around, god that guy was a pain in the arse.
Regulus looked in the mirror before getting into the tub, man he was covered in blood.
So much blood.
He probably needed to clean up quickly since his Mother was hosting a meeting in like 15 minutes.
With that Regulus slipped into the bathtub and sunk deep into the tub until soon his entire body was submerged and he couldn't see or breath.
So much for cleaning up quickly he was already taking up too much time.
"Shut up" he muttered to himself, he wanted to rest for now.
He closed his eyes, maybe he could just lay here for the rest of his life. Drowning was a nice and quite way to go, much better than how most of his family went.
But here's the thing about drowning the first part is easy, you're to some extent simply sleeping but once the drowning actually begins that's what hurts because now Regulus was fighting against life, fighting to end it. And as it ended up, his own life almost always won.
But that was okay with Regulus because that's what he deserved, he deserved to live in this hellscape that was his own life, like some cruelly designed personal torture chamber just for him, he deserved to live a long as fucking could and die in the most miserable Black way possible.
He climbed out of the tub. His body felt sore and weak, like a babies.
The tub was entirely red, red with someone else's blood the last of someone's family was in that tub on Reg's body.
Regulus knew he was destined to kill, his parents had made that very clear since he was a kid. The Black Family runs on blood. Yet although he knew this simple truth all too well, Sirius seemed all too clueless until the last moment he was a Black.
A part of Regulus hated Sirius, loathed him more than anything else in the world.
Because Sirius was able to be disgusted by their family, but Regulus's was a Black but a part of him was also Sirius's which meant that although he was disgusted by what he was doing, he always knew deep down what he had to do.
Regulus wrapped the towel around him as he hobbled over to his closet putting on fresh clothes, they felt wrong on his body, he hated it.
Regulus took one last look in the mirror before heading downstairs.
His Mother Walburga stood at the doorway glaring off into the distance with a glass of wine in her hand, as she tapped the glass impatiently "Regulus Arcturus Black where is your Father?" she hissed, her voice laced with venom.
Regulus bowed his head "I don't know Mother I haven't seen him since before I left for my mission"
"WHO are you?!"
"Please, please, no, I'll do anyt-"
Blood splattered all over the walls and suddenly his knife was covered with the last remaining pieces of a human being.
"Regulus" his Mother snapped and Regulus was quickly snapped out of his temporary flashback "Where was he when you last saw-"
"My darling, there is no rush, we run the meetings, why must you make everything life or death" Orion appeared in the doorway, mumbling under his breath.
Walburga sneered at him, and just like that the Black Family headed off.
Malfoy Manor was cold and dreary nothing about the place made Regulus comfortable in the slightest.
And as his Mother led him into the large meeting room Regulus felt like he would find a dagger in his back at any second.
"Welcome" Regulus watched as his Mother rose out of her seat at the head of the table "I am ever so gracious for each and every one of your presence"
She probably kill them and their entire bloodline if they refused to come
Regulus watched as his Mother continued to drone on and on.
If Sirius were here-
No, not now
He kicked himself attempting to stay awake during the whole ordeal but it was oh so boring.
The only thing that caught Reg's eyes during the meeting was the continuous stares he was getting from across the room. Regulus sighed.
Evan
God he was so needy, I mean so what, he didn't want to go on ONE mission with him, JESUS, doesn't mean he had to googly eye him the entire fucking meeting.
He still had Pandora right, speaking of which, while Evan had been trying to get Regulus's attention more than anything else Pandora seemed to be ignoring him, the two hadn't even spoken since a few months ago, why was she avoiding him, they're were so close they were like each others person when none else was, what did he do?
I mean why should Regulus even care, after all his mind should've been on far more important things.
Like for one that nosy cop that had been tracking him for the past few months, Regulus was never even able to grab a quick glance at the guy cause he almost always just came out shooting, sometimes with his eyes CLOSED! He was obviously a rookie but one thing Regulus could admit was that while this guy might not be the best sharp shooter, he was certainly a good detective, sadly.
Regulus kept finding himself in situations a little too risky to his liking. And this guy was relentless, I mean Regulus wasn't even the biggest problem in his OWN family! I mean the guy was just a straight up dick-
"Regulus would you care to demonstrate"
Regulus snapped back to attention, he had blacked out for too long now his Mother wanted...
Oh
It didn't take long for Regulus to figure out what his Mother wanted, for there across from him in the back corner of the room was a man whose mouth seemed to be covered in tape, as he struggled against the bandages that withheld him, and there below Regulus, was a gun.
It felt weird in his hands, usually Reg used daggers.
He raised the weapon slowly and pointed it at the poor man's head.
Just don't think abo-
BOOM!!
His Mother was smiling, that cruel smile she had, that smile that said "It's enough for now".
And as he put down the gun he dared not to look back at the man, though he could hear the thud of a chair meeting the ground below it.
"Well I believe that is about it, I wish you all safe travels and once again am forever grateful that you have brought yourself to us."
Regulus quickly rushed out with the rest of his family, careful to avoid Evan, as they made their way to the car Regulus caught a glimpse of the man whom he had shot being dragged to the back.
He did that
Reg did that
But before Regulus could truly grasp the fact, he saw a figure approaching the car.
Bellatrix, ugh.
As she approached the car Walburga began to roll down her window "Yes Bellatrix what is it?"
"Mistress Black I have-" she glanced over at Regulus and then leaned in further towards his Mother and began to whisper.
Regulus's curiosity perked.
Once Bellatrix had finished, Walburga simply look at her nodded "Yes, though it should be quite easy, I appreciate your enthusiasm regrading this job, I must say your work is very much appreciated within this family."
Bellatrix's eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas, "Thank you mama, I'm just doing my part" and as Bellatrix skipped of she looked back at Regulus and cackled.
Regulus's brow furrowed, what was she on?
He desperately fought the urge to ask his Mother and instead took to gazing out the window at the blurred scenery which passed before him.
Though Regulus couldn't stomach the sinking feeling that something was wrong.
He shook it off, and continued to gaze out the window.
After all it didn't matter what happened now he had already lost everything the moment Sirius looked at him after his Mother had told him what happened.
Nothing could ever compare to Sirius's eyes when he found out, his once bright blazing eyes were dead, dimmed beyond recognition, and it that moment Reg knew that Siri was dead.
